Kicked Out of WEIGH****CHERS????
I have never heard of this before.
I mentioned possibly joining WW on our DS forum and was just told the other members may not like me as a person who has had WLS ..
I'll ask about this on the main forum to see what other post-ops' experiences have been with WW to see if this gal was putting you on or had some other ulterior motive ...

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )
Who told you they would kick you out? I have been using WW for years. I have a great leader who was all for me getting Lapband. She saw me lose weight with WW but gain it all back after my Mom got sick and passed away. It really is great support and following the plan is great for everybody after surgery. WW is not against the surgery. I have other people in my groups who have had WLS. Here is an official line from WW website.
Bariatric Surgery and Lifestyle Modification
Bariatric surgery requires making major changes in eating behaviors, with the type of changes needed as well as the need for dietary supplements depending on the type of surgery. Long-term weight-loss success also requires lifestyle modification.
The Weigh****chers Approach:
Lifestyle modification is the cornerstone of the Weigh****chers approach– making wise food choices, being physically active, developing positive thinking skills, and being in a supportive environment. These four pillars are especially important for those who have undergone bariatric surgery.
What about that says they will kick you out? The trick for all of us is lifestyle change. My lifestyle is totally different now than it was before the surgery. For me long term success is what I did the surgery for and the support will help make that possible. Whether here at Obesity Help, Surgery Center groups, Weigh****chers, or family/friends.
If somebody told you would be kicked out then have them read their own website. Heck even when you get to goal I guarantee that you will go up and down with your weight just like everybody else. Some weeks you will pay and some you won't. Don't let anybody make you feel like you would be cheating at WW if you had weight loss surgery.
