Did My Moobs Grow, Or WTF???

They were very noticeable before surgery (in fact, my ped. offered doing a "moobectomy" on me when I was just a chubby teenager) ..  But after my weight loss I could swear they are even bigger and more noticeable than before, more like "manaloupes"  --  when I bend forward at the waist without a shirt on it's almost like a small-breasted gal's "gorditas" hanging down from my chest ..  (and they flatten almost completely out when laying on my back).  At this rate, I'm going to have to buy one of those Seinfeld "bros" soon ..  &:-/)

I sure as heck don't want a gal to ever see them ..  (she might get jealous!)

I don't understand how this could happen, since it seems like the gals on TT routinely complain about how THEIR "legit" boobs shrink down to virtually nothing after their surgery ..  And judging from some of the pre vs. post-op pics I've seen on there, they ain't lyin' ..

Is there a horomonal reason responsible here working against us guys?  Could it be due to an atrophy of muscle tissue in the chest (i.e. pecs)  from the weight loss?

Has this happened to anyone else here?

No real answer to your moob question.  I would like to see one... I am about 95% sure that my moobs will have to be surgically removed.  15 years ago I was 315 and lost 110lbs in a year from diet and exercise but the moobs didn't go away. For some of us I think it is a hormone/genetic/or something thing.

Since I probably will never be able to afford the surgery I will probably just strap the puppies down - I also plan on doing a lot of weight lifting it helps a little to get toned.  In highschool I lifted 3 hours a day and I look forward to starting that up again.

Good luck in getting an answer (I hope to hear from others here as well)

Every body is different but for me, I think I went through the same thing after the first 50-60 pounds came off. I felt like the moobs were more noticeable but it could just be that were more prominent because the body behind it was smaller.

At this point they have really flattened down a lot and you can hardly even tell with clothes on. One thing I have been doing is keeping consistent with the resistance training. I read somewhere that you want to really focus on doing presses on an incline. This will target the upper portion of your pecs and help to "lift" your moobs and give the appearance of a flatter looking chest. They definitely don't recommend doing decline presses or even flat bench presses because those will develop the lower half of the pecs and that can cause the moobs to look even more prominent.

 Thanks, guys .. !

I'll try the isometric exercise you recommend, Brian

btw, if I do have to go the surgical route, I plan on using Dr. Kuster back in Brazil ..  He works in conjunction with my WLS surgeon, Dr. Antelmo, there.  He does great work and you can't beat his rates.  Last I heard for a lower body lift (LBL) he's charging under $5K total.      I'll have that done, the moobs thing, batwings, and thighs (along w. "manmons").  He charges a little less for each procedure you have done at the same time, for a "package deal".  Hopefully then I'll start looking like a guy again!
