Smart man!   I too am looking at nursing school next year (2009) as a career change after burn-out in lawyering for 15+ years ..  I want to get more hands-on helping people ..  Tons of opportunities and directions one can go as an RN these days (and w. an average salary of $60K a year!()   Who knows, I might end up working for a WLS surgeon?      My dad really pushed me toward it out of high school, but I was young and immature and just wanted to mess around in life at the time  ..

btw, I've heard there's a great public school for nursing in Lake Charles, LA ..    Very easy to get into and cheap, supposedly  ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )

Never stop exercising, even if it's only twice a week. If you cut back to that level, then swim once, jog once. This will cover many of the bases.

There are two rules in life I live by....
1. Dont sweat the small stuff
2. IT'S ALL SMALL STUFF!

One more thing:  Before you ask a woman to be your Mrs. - you need to find out if she spits or swallows.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Live life. Do not just read about it. Do not let diabetes stop you. You can do anything including travel. Only you can stop you. Be creative.

Before getting married. Do as much as you can. And like others said do even more before having kids. It changes everything. I love my kids but I wish I had done more before having them.

Get out of your house and away form the computer as much as you can. Life is awesome if you are willing to live it.

In no particular order...

Enjoy life (especially the sex part)
Work hard (but never more than 40 hours a week)
Appreciate the world you live in (dont drive an SUV and never litter)
Treat others with kindness (unless they screw you, then kick their ass)
Exercise and eat healthy (never lose the health you have worked so hard to regain)

Did I mention have lots of sex ....

I have always said that if I could be one age again and stay there it would be 22.  I had just a great time at 22.  I went to Las Vegas for the 1st time that year.  Wild parties.  could go for days without sleep.  Worked 3 jobs had plenty of cash to spend.

Don't let a day go by that you don't enjoy.  TRAVEL and have a good time.

Most of all have the greatest of birthdays.
