Yesterday was my 8 month anniversary since my surgery date and I had an appointment with my PCP.  He had me step on the scale and it read exactly 200 lbs. !!!  That's 10 lbs. BELOW the goal weight of 210 lbs. that he and my cardiologist wanted at!!  My BP was 128/64

I've lost a total of 188 lbs. and have lost 133 since my surgery. Thats 133 pounds in 241 days - an average of .55 lb. lost per day!

WooWhooooo!!!

Way to go Bob. I am a year out as of the 20th of Dec and have lost 260 lbs. Hard to imagine I now weigh 1/3 of what I did at Christmas last year. I am underweight and cant put it on.

That's fantastic Bob! I'm having surgery on Monday and I hope I am as successful as you. Thanks for all the great advise on all of your post. I have been lurking here for a while and it seems like your always ready to help somebody in need with some great advise.

Remember to follow the the Four Mantras of Life Post WLS:

1.  Sip, sip, sip.  Know you are a DS'er but you still need your fluids.
2.  Walk, walk, walk.  Helps prevent clots and start you excercising.
3.  Any problems:  CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!
'nuff said whether DS'er or RNY'er.
4.  Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart, except those you hear about in here.  Trusting a fart may lead you to a laundy emergency!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Thanks fellas!   I continue to find this WLS journey nothing short of amazing.  No matter what I did or tried before surgery, I could not lose weight. I continued to gain and gain.  Post-op, the weight has seemed to melt away, even through the holidays.  Of course, I have consistently followed Dr. Richard's and Vandy's plan to the letter and also make sure that I walk and/or do some exercise activity every day.
WLS has absolutely been a life saver and life enhancer for me!
