My first new year without a resolution.
Up until this particular day, every January 1st I would say to myself: "Self, you're gonna lose that weight this year, you're gonna quit letting Little Debbie push you around and whip your flabby ass into shape, this is the MFin' year, dammit!!" Yeah, that lasted till about January 3rd.
This year, I have decided NOT to make a resolution. Are there things that I need to improve upon, oh yeah. But for this first time I don't have to say "I'm gonna lose the weight this year". I already have, and it's not because of some stupid resolution.
So, let's just put it this way. I'm so glad that the holidays have come and gone. They were fun, but were hell on my eating plan. I'm starting now (not because it's January 1st, but because it's just another day, but after Christmas and therefore the food that haunts me is much less present) getting back on track and losing the 2 pounds that I put on over the holidays. I was pleased to find out this morning, upon getting on the scale, that I've already lost .5 of one of those pounds. Let's see, 25% there already. Great!
Anyone want to share your new years NON-resolutions?

I'm with you on this one Jason...
Every year I'd pledge the same damn thing. To get the weight off and be more healthy. Did I ever succeed, well no I didn't, cause come January 2, there I'd be with the white bread in one hand and cookies in the other. That is, until 2008 when my whole life changed. While I still have around 80 lbs to go, I think I've succeeded in accomplishing my main 2 resolutions of years past. So this year, I'm not making those same resolutions. Instead, I resolve to not make any resolutions. (Ok so thats a bit of an oxymoron).
Yes there are some things I need to work on. I'm not perfect, but these are things that I should be trying to improve anyway and I don't need a resolution for that. So onward with 2009. Let it be a great year.
Happy New Years to you all...
