clothes shopping
I'll probably get flamed but I actually don't mind going to the mall as much now. It's amazing how much more you can get (and better quality and much more fashionable) all for less than what we got ripped off for at Casual Male!
I used to pay about $70/polo at CM and now I can buy shirts from Express or Banana Republic on sale for under $25! And much nicer fit and definitely more stylish.
I can go to the reduced rack at Nordstrom and find all kinds of stuff in my size now. Before I'd go and look and if I found anything big enough I'd buy it even if it didn't even look nice.

Now, I think the other thing is customer service. Have you noticed that when you go into Men's warhouse or Lord and Tayor or any men's store. They wait on you! I have also developed expensive taste. I love the quality of the clothing, the fit and the colors. I had a good person at casual male but when I go to men's warehouse, it is "hi, ken" and a handshake, and we have this on sale. It is so cool. One salesman at Lord and Taylor takes me to the sales rack and tells me you aren't buying anything till you are stable at full price. It is so cool, I used to hate to shop but it is so cool now that I got real stores to shop in and they appreciate your business!
Funny thing is I was posting several months back a lament on TT about how I STILL seem to favor black/dark-colored clothes .. (the "slendering" benefit) ..
It could be just a case of still seeing the "fat man" .. But in my situation, since I'm still at an "obese" BMI, maybe it's a legit thing ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
