Tailbone Pain!!! OWWW
Lots of squats...and stretching, chriopractic care and accupuncture...yeah I get all that...plus pain meds!!! .
Try this stretch, it really helped me, i hope i explain this right:
You cross your legs, basically opposite ankle to opposite thigh (you know right ankle to left thigh). You bend the opposite shoulder of the leg you crossed to the crossed knee. So if you cross your right leg you should stretch your left shoulder to it. You should feel a stretch down your butt and thigh. You can do this on both sides.
The squats build up muscle and seem to help a bit.

You'd think surgery and a year of PT, chiropractic and accupuncture would make my neck better...but it hasn't. It is MUCH better then it was, but I still have trouble sleeping because it's hard to find a good position. So my doctor put me on some sleep meds, combined with pain meds to get me to sleep through the night.
I will need surgery on my lower back soon, I've been putting it off, and I guess I'll keep putting it off until after we move.

MY STORY: imthebiggestloser.blogspot.com/
A plastic surgeon explained this really well to me a few weeks ago. He says that when we gain weight, there are certain areas that the muscle actually sits on top (or even in-between) layers of fat. One area is the abs and the other is the butt. So as our body expands, those muscles stretch and get pulled to their limits. But when we lose all the fat, they don't always (or ever, according to him) just "snap" back into place. So what we're left with are muscles that kinda droop or sag and don't sit on or around the bones in that area like they should (or used to).
The only way to correct it for the abs is to have them tightened up (like a corset) and pulled back together. For the butt, it's tougher and it usually involves a lift of some sorts and possibly implants.
Hopefully I'm explaining this right.
But yeah, I have the same problem right now. I CANNOT even get close to a wooden chair or bench!
