I am 5 months post op, no problems so far, but since yesterday I have had terrible gas at both ends, any advise or should i be concerned?

Not that I'm a doctor or anything, but I would give it a few days, as long as your're not in any kind of pain. If it gets worse or persists for a few days, you might need to talk to your doctor.

Gas-X is your friend! And it tastes like candy...

I pop one in anytime I know it's going to be one of those nights. Otherwise my wife will elbow me in bed...lol. You know, when someone moves and the blanket lets out some of the air from underneath...LMAO!

Sorry, TMI I know...

I second the GasX statement.  I can blow fire out the rear sector here as of late and am actually having a little trouble controlling it.  I have heard it comes with the territory.  Not a bad trade off though...120lb loss===nasty gas...I'll take it!

As to the south end find an old person, or a baby, to stand beside, let 'er rip and comment that the Depends, or diaper, needs a changing.

Then the owner of the dog calls him/her saying "Fido!  Get away from that man before he ****s all over you!"

Jay,
It's normal. Avoiding gassy foods, beans, cabbage family ect. will help. I found that walking alot helps to move the gas and that provides some relief. Gas-Ex works, and I find that sipping mint tea helps too.
