Dumping is a not fun
There are many types of dumping. I used to post that I got frequent diarrhea but was told that wasn't dumping. However, the bariatric surgeon says that it is. Just slow down while eating and check what you are eating. You may have eaten something that you can't tolerate yet. My surgeon said to wait a couple more weeks if a particular food is giving you problem. My continuing problem was with whey products. I couldn't tolerate them until 9 months post op.
I am three years out and just the other day I was eating at the olive garden and I ate too much. I had to excuse myself to go puke. It was actually a sip (and I mean a sip) of a corbonated beverage that put it over the top. Keep learning and put those new good habbits in cement!

you know I haven't ever understood what constitutes dumping but last night I felt like crap on a stick. I ate a no fat light yogurt (a new flavor but the nutrition info was the same as the others in the fridge) and I had rapid hear rate and felt ill all over. I have felt this to a degree in the past when I eat something with even a tad of sugar. This time it lasted over an hour and I ended up laying down for 30 or 40 mins of it.
I get foamies when I eat stuff that is too dry or if I eat a tad fast and I have thrown up every time - and you can forget trying to finish eating anything at that point.

I am just over a month out and have only thrown up once, but let me tell you, it was awful. I felt horrible for about 90 minutes before I was able to throw up. But, as soon as I did that, I felt instantly better. Sometimes, but not always, I feel really tired and sleepy for a couple hours after eating. Not sure what that's about.
I have had a terrible time with the foamies. The first 3 to 4 months, I would have the foamies at least once, sometimes twice/day. I would throw up mucus, not food. There were 2 times that it lasted 4 hours, throwing up like every 1/2 hour. Finally after 4 hours, I threw up the food. It is better now. What I thought was eating slow, must not have been. I am taking smaller bites, and waiting longer between bites. Sometimes, I have to stop for about 5 minutes. My surgeon was watching me for a stricture, but he did not want to go in to balloon me unless it was absolutely necessary. You really have to pay attention what you little stomach is telling you. It's hard when we are so use to just shoveling food in absent-mindedly. Don't get to eat hot food anymore (except for the first few bites).
