I've rediscovered McDonalds...On my terms...
WARNING!! Kids, do not try this at home!! I'm starting to go back to McDonalds. No, it's not like before WLS. It's on my terms...let me explain. Some of things I will get there...Coffee. I'll get one of their regular coffees and sweeten it to my taste...mostly Splenda and Equal, with a little sugar and half and half. I only drink about 4oz cause my pouch is a weakling...I will save the cup and reheat the rest the next day. A cheeseburger...I will use a few napkins and blot out the grease. I will then add my own spinach leafs and tomatoes. I ususally will nibble on it for a couple of days. A grilled chicken bacon ranch salad...I will take the salad and add my own spinach leafs, tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, and some extra cheese. No, the dressing and the bacon is not good...but when you add the other stuff it works for me...it usually last a few days too. Those thinking about going this route really should wait till you're near your goal. But for me...I'm enjoying these items. Brian PS Notice...no Big Macs, french fries, or soft drinks...

I wonder how bad Mac and junk food are for people who's cholesterol never really went up pre-op? Doesn't that mean it truly does NOT go up after having half your intesting bypassed? Still, better safe than sorry I guess. I'm not going to eat FF's every day. That's for sure.

As to burgers, I prefer the Jr. Whopper w. cheese at BK, extra mayo and no lettuce .. I've been able to eat a regular Whopper w. cheese, but it's way too bloating ..

I keep in the fridge at work for high-protein snacks those frozen little mini-cheeseburgers that come 8 to a package .. I take one pair, throw away the top buns, stack one on top of the other like a double-burger, using one of the bottom buns for the top bun, nuke it for 80 secs ... then put on mayo and mustard ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
