  Hey Guys,

I know the pictures didn't come through, but this had all kinds of pictures of puppies, kittens, baby chimps and duckies in it. Do you guys get sickeningly sweet cutesy lovie dovey spam from female friends or relatives? How do you handle it? Yuckk!

Thanks,

Dave

A Hug Certificate for You!

This poem is very sweet. It will be interesting to see who sends it back. Forward this on and back. Thanks!

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
And share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.

If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own;
A place to find serenity,
A place to be alone.

If I could take your troubles
I w ould toss them in the sea,
But all these things I'm finding
Are impossible for me.

I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best,
A friend who's always there.

This is a Hug Certificate!!

Send One to All Your Friends Who You Think Deserve A Hug
(Which, Hopefully Includes the Person Who Sent It to You).

You might send it to your enemies as well!
It'll really tic 'em off!

If you receive this back 2 times . You're off to a good start,
Unless you sent it to yourself. That's cheating!

If you receive this back 3 times. You're a good friend.

If you receive this back 4 times
...... You are popular! I wanna be just like you.
If you are busy or do not forward items, I understand,
You are still my good friend.

If you receive this back 5 times or more,
There are angels watching over you..

THANK YOU, IF YOU SEND IT BACK TO ME.

All the time.  Most of it just gets Shift-Deleted.
Especially the ones that ask you to send it back to them to prove how much you love or care about them.

 Scott,

Delete is probably the key. However, somehow I'd like to get the message across that they should send such material out to men, to foreign countries (syrup and glitter do not cross cultural borders!)or  to any state that does not have huge trailer population or it's own "militia". I don't know...

Maybe I'll make my own male friendship poetry and send it to her. Something with shots of pole dancers, heavy machinery, "Dogs Playing Poker," electric guitars and the like.

Just a Rants,

Dave

Sorry, that should read "Should NOT send the material out to men, to people in foreign countries  (syrup and glitter do not cross cultural borders!)or  to any state that does not have huge trailer population or it's own "militia"...

Don't know why, but for some reason I bristle at seeing children's book / Bob's Big Boy combo design themes in my Inbox!

Let me know when you have your own friendship letter completed.  That's one I would like to see.

It could be the universal reply that is sent out in response to those syrupy emails.

The children's book influence is a big one that I see in these spams, in forum signatures and on greeting cards. So I'm assuming child rearing and nurturing must be ringing in their heads.

So with guys, it's not so much the drive to nurture as the drive to create (btw, can you see how they are similar in intensity?!) So, safe to say this is a truly representive theme!

(waiting to be skinned alive)

Errr Dave . . the boxes are just blank in your post ..  Only the text part copied ..

As to emails from "female friends" . .   nope ..       (WHAT female friends?   )

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )

 Err...Batswingsman...

First line of my post: "I know the pictures didn't come through"

I know. I wish they would have come through! Just imagine all variety of baby animals, both real and cartoon, wearing cute clothes and stuff.

These are from relatives. I would not tolerate it from friends.

I still think you should arrange to meet a potential foreign wife. Many of them are great.

Best Wishes,

Dave
