Another Fart? or what is a Fart in reverse?

So, I was sitting at my computer this morning when all of a sudden, SNAP, I busted the chair I was sitting on.  The metal broke in two.  Ok, it is a super cheap chair and we have had it for a number of years, but... now....?  What's up with that.  THis morning I weighed in at 185.

So, here are my thoughts,  Why did I feel horrible when this would happen when I was at 300 (and it happened several times) but not really feel that bad when it happens now?  Doesn''t seem right.  Obviously thinner people break chairs too, but it doesn't have the same emotional impact.

All I can say is that this was a weird experience.  At least I can go get that new chair I've been wanting to buy now.

After I read your whole post, I started to wonder if you were just sitting in the chair or if you had sabotaged it in some way so that you'd have an excuse to go buy a new chair.  I'm devious that way sometimes.  Actually, there are times I'll order something and then tell my wife about it later.  Kind of like when she buys more shoes or clothes that she doesn't need.  Eventually I hear that she got that a while ago.

Would that be a TRAF?

Funny - I busted my chair just before my surgery. Went out and bought the chair I really wanted too. I think they are just cheaply built these days. At least that is how I justified my new leather chair.

I think I coined the term "M.O.M." (an upside-down W.O.W.) on TT some time back ..   It refers to waht would normally be an embarrassing moment for us as a biggie pre-op, but is a happy moment for us as a thinner post-op .   Examples:   splitting pants from being able to move around in them more feely and vigorously while exercising (vs. butt being too big) ...    taking a hard fall to the ground, yet not breaking anything ..  etc. etc.

Maybe the chair broke b/c you're moving around in it a lot more, with the weight loss ..

   Good M.O.M., Rev.!

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )
