Breakfast post WLS...Rethinking it...
I never thought in my wildest that I would actually wake on a Saturday Morning and make myself a Soy Protein Shake. I am proud of that fact. I used to be a big Saturday morning breakfast person, pancakes, eggs, sausage the whole 9 yards and to go out for breakfast I would look for the biggest breakfast I could find. Not any more!

Shortly after surgery, I had protein shakes for breakfast. I eventually switched to protein bars. I don't know when I switched to regular food. These days I have the same exact thing everyday except for an occasional Sunday: I have 2 large scrambled eggs, 1 slice of Pepperidge
Farms whole wheat stone ground bread (77cal) with "I can't believe it's not butter" and a banana. I also have 1 cup of instant coffee with SF/FF flavoring and a splash of fat free milk.
Yeah, I know most people would be concerned about the number of whole eggs, but I saw my primary doc today and my cholesterol is excellent. My BP was 117/77.
Occasionally I'll have a small Taylor pork roll sandwich on the same bread. Bob

In the past life I was a two Toaster Scramblers while sitting on the toilet type for breakfast. If I was in "healthy eating" mode a can of Slim Fast. Since WLS nearly a year ago I have become a dedicated poached egg person. One to one and half per day. If they are undercooked or if the scrambled eggs are runny then the eggs ain't the only thing "runny"!
On the weekends GF or I will make an IHOP, or Waffle House, run for either a ham and cheese omelet or steak and eggs.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
