You ought to try peanut butter!  I've been eating it (small amounts of course) since about 3 months out.  Make sure to get the "natural or organic" peanut butter to avoid the saturated fat.  It took me a while to get bread to settle also, be patient and good luck!

I never thought in my wildest that I would actually wake on a Saturday Morning and make myself a Soy Protein Shake.  I am proud of that fact.  I used to be a big Saturday morning breakfast person, pancakes, eggs, sausage the whole 9 yards and to go out for breakfast I would look for the biggest breakfast I could find.  Not any more!

Shortly after surgery, I had protein shakes for breakfast.  I eventually switched to protein bars.  I don't know when I switched to regular food.  These days I have the same exact thing everyday except for an occasional Sunday:  I have 2 large scrambled eggs, 1 slice of Pepperidge
Farms whole wheat stone ground bread (77cal) with "I can't believe it's not butter" and a banana.  I also have 1 cup of instant coffee with SF/FF flavoring and a splash of fat free milk.

Yeah, I know most people would be concerned about the number of whole eggs, but I saw my primary doc today and my cholesterol is excellent.  My BP was 117/77.

Occasionally I'll have a small Taylor pork roll sandwich on the same bread.  Bob

Usually have an EAS protein shake before I leave for work. I like 'em, they're quick and easy, and give me a good shot of protein to start the day. If I do eat food, which is rare, it's either a small bowl of oatmeal, or a banana,  or 2 -3 strips of turkey bacon, and sometimes an egg or two.

In the past life I was a two Toaster Scramblers while sitting on the toilet type for breakfast.  If I was in "healthy eating" mode a can of Slim Fast.  Since WLS nearly a year ago I have become a dedicated poached egg person.  One to one and half per day.  If they are undercooked or if the scrambled eggs are runny then the eggs ain't the only thing "runny"!On the weekends GF or I will make an IHOP, or Waffle House, run for either a ham and cheese omelet or steak and eggs.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Breakfast has always been my favorite meal.  Pre-WLS, it was 2 to 3 fried eggs, a few slices of bacon or sausage, and 4 (yeah) slices of toast with lots of butter and jelly.  Now, most days it's 1 scrambled egg with grated cheese and 2 slices of turkey bacon.  Some days it will be a protien shake.

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.
