Blood work suggestions

I'm just now getting around to my 6 month post op follow-up and I'm curious about blood work. My doc sent a list of 3 or 4 tests he wants as a routine follow-up but I read a lot of posts quoting levels of this or minimums of that and wonder what tests I should consider getting done. I'm a self-pay and don't want to have tests done for no good reason but I also don't want to "spend a dollar trying to save a dime".
Suggestions?
Thanx,
Jim

 Hi Jim,

I'm not sure which tests they recommend for RNYers, but I have an Excel Spread sheet which I have used to track my blood labs since my first set after surgery.  Over the years I've added additional types of tests that were necessitated by some of my regular labs being out of range, as well as a few others.    Some types of tests on there also came with the sheet when I "inherited" it from another DSer. after she was 4 years out.      Currently it has over 80 types of tests on it, along with the "normal" ranges for each (90% of those for a 45 y.o. white male).

If you'd like a copy (or anyone else here), PM me with an email address and I'll forward it.   You'll need to remove my test results off of it, but it should be good to go for you after that.
