I'am a GC and 4 mos out. No work. No houses to build. You will find that any stress or strain u put on your mid section will be painful for a while. This is a day by day test on your body. You do what u can and suck it up. --will go fishing with u. seems like u know where the spots are. I'am going stripper fishing on the bay in 2 weeks durnig tourney season. I charters stripper and tuna every year. Lifes simple 2 days of kick back beer drinking pleasures.
Good luck

The bending and twisting will help with the weightloss!! It really will. I would go real light on the lifting for weeks or months. Also if your outside alot (in the heat) you will really need to watch for the signs of dehydration Dehydration is the # 1 cause of returning to the hospital post WLS. I was a security guard and planned my surgery in October (had to walk 3-4 miles a day). Didn't want to go through the major drop in weight during the summer. What I tell guys to do the first week back at work...try and do a couple of 4-5 hour days to start. See how you handle it. Or start back to work on a Thursday and do Friday...rest Sat. and Sun. That should tell you how you handle your work. Remember you'll be dropping about 1 1/2 pounds a day! That really takes it out of you. I would try to grab for energy and it just wasn't there. Before I would grab some candy for that energy...Different lifestyle now. Brian
