Chick-fil-a Chicken Nuggets - Yummmm!

Looks like our Cookieman was quite right about these little deep-fried protein jewels.      Scottie posted earlier about how good these are, w. 40 grams of protein (about 3x the amount of carbs) and I finally got to try some when someone brought a big batch of them to our local DS club meeting last Saturday with Barbara Metcalf:

I think the secret to their great flavor is that the seasonings/breading is pressure-cooked into the meat (ala KFC) but deep-fried using peanut oil for something different  ..  (so, beware if you are allergic to peanuts!)

They are fried with peanut oil. They're delicious sans sauce which makes them even better - no carb-laden sauce is necessary to choke them down.

I know someone who is DEATHLY allergic to peanuts but can eat Chick-fil-A - in fact, she even worked there. I don't know how this possible, but it is.

Their Diet Lemonade is delicious, too!

I have heard they'll make you a 12 pack for breakfast, and this seems plausible given that those chicken minis are just nuggets in a very tiny biscuit thing. I need to ask my local one!

They sure do!!! And I love their coffee. So good too. And the price for the chicken minis is totally ridculous for the difference in meat you get for the nuggets. :) Love love love my Chick Fil a

I guess they only have them in a limited geographic area of the U.S.     I knew we had them back in MO although I never ate there back in those days ..  and of course they are all over Texas, as Scottie noted ..      However, as he also pointed out, they apparently don't have them in the NE like in NY, and Vitalady told me at that same DS club meeting last Friday that they apparently don't have them on the west coast either where she is at (WA) ..     Still, is there one near you, Melanie?   You're in WA too ..

Dang, we need to spread the word ..
