Big WOW Moment for me

My surgery was on 12/18/08 today I took my wife and son to the lake and we went scuba diving. What was so great was for the first time in 10 years I was able to fasten my bcd without the use of an extended. My gear fit like it was suppose to. I was able to zip up my wetsuit by myself and did not even zip up any skin. It was a great day plus I also was able to drop some wgt from my wgt belt as it took less to get me down.

    Congrats! You may be new to the men's forum, we refer to wow moments as FARTS here. This is a big, no make that HUGE FART. You know that soon, though, this is going to get expensive as you are going to have to buy a new, smaller wet suit before you know it.. From my memory of my youth they aren't cheap. I know from my experience that I have had to get all new camo hunting clothes.

Great experience Wess.  I havent been geared up in 25 yrs.  Got cold feet on a cave dive combined with some faulty equipment.  I like diving, but to go back to the dives I like is like taking a 7k vacation.  Not in my budget this year or next.

I used to scuba dive when I was in the Navy stationed in Guam and want to get back into it. I was never comfortable doing it at the weight I was. Hopefully I'll be ready by next summer.

Mike, you really should get back into it. I mean you have all the clearwater srings and the ocean in fla.

I really want to. And that is one of my goals. It has been 17 years since I last dived. I probably need to take the certification again.

I certified in Guam in 1990. My open water dive was on two Japanese Warships that were sunk in Apra Harbor. That was really a great dive.
