if i use my insurance... the surgery is around 75 thousand dollars and my ins will pay 25 thousand only!!! so ill be stuck with the rest....
Your statements are conflicting here.
If your insurance only pays 1/3 then **** on it. Do what you have to do to improve your credit score, get a loan and go to Mexico.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Worth at least a phone call.
Good luck.

Something is seriously wrong there .. esp. at TN rates ..
Have you checked with other WLS surgeons in TN to see how much it would cost? I don't know if your ins. covers DS, but if so you might check with Dr. Spaw's office in Nashville to see what they would charge for lap or open DS . There is another surgeon in Nashville that is also now doing DS (Dr. Thompson?) ..
Even RNY done open or lap shouldn't be over $25K there ..

If you have to go the Mexico route, there are surgery lending cos. that won't give you a tough time about your credit score .. Just ask Dr. Ungson's office in Hermosillo about some of the surgical lenders they work with (I think several have direct links on his website) ..

Don't give up now!
Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )
