Today is my first appointment with the Nut who should lay out my program and tell me what I need to do to get surgery.
It seems that I am already approved by my insurance company to get the surgery just on my general doctors recommendation. How cool is that!
I have tricare (retired military) insurance so I hope it pays well.

Take this time to read up and study up on after-surgery do's and dont's!  My doctor recommended "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies."  I am 16 days out from surgery, and every day is something new to learn.  Best of luck!

That is great. Keep us updated.  As a pre-op guy, I will be watching your progress.

Echo that on the reading up on everything.  An educated patient is a successful patient.  Happy NUTting!

Congratulations!!

I also have tricare (Retired Navy). They paid everything. All I had to pay for was the for the NUT, Tricare doesn't cover that and $25.00 hospital co-pay.

If you're nutritionist talks too fast or isn't clear. Don't be afraid to interrupt and make sure you understand what he or she is saying. Remember.. you're paying the bill! You'll do just fine.
