Protein Supplements
I am not planning on going out prior to surgery to buy additional protein mixes, supplements, etc., but I am wonding what you all used when you started out.
I have some Ungery that someone gave me that will get me by for a while, and plan to go the cheaper route and try the dried milk+Milk protein recipe.
There is just so much to choose from.
Thanks in advance!

I also had unjury but now the smell reminds me of recovery.
It took me a while to eat much - I was having a hard time keeping up with my liquids so protiene shakes were helpful becuase they covered both. My favorite is GNC Myofusion (Chocolate or Strawberries/Cream) followed by Muscle Milk Chocolate.
I ate alot of canned chicken w/ mayo. Eventually I added having it on saltines. also scrambled eggs and cottage cheese.

Egg substitute cuts out the fat in eggs. Most of the protine is in the whites. I find 100% egg whites too watery so I make my own but taking a few eggs and separating out 1/2 or so of the yolks to cut down on the fat but still have the emulisifying ability you need from the yolks to keep things together. It is also cheaper than buying egg subsitute if you are going to have eggs in the house anyway.
I also forgot I ate alot of s.f. pudding made with skim milk. Gives you hydration and protiene and I could crush up pills in it. It was hard to take some of my vitamins the first few weeks.
