sugury today...
Well after 6 months of lurking on this board, reading nearly every post you guys have put up, and alot of soul searching to make sure im doing the right thing...Today is the day
headed to the hospital in an hour, not nervous, just anxious. The mens forum imparticular has been one of the largest factors in my choice to have this surgury. I just wanted to thank all you regulars who have posted soo much useful information and experiances.

Good for you Jake. Can't wait to hear about your successful surgery. Here is to a boring and uneventful recovery.

just an update...
I got home from the hospital last night, i ended up staying an extra night. Soooo small complication, While physically im fine, had all the scans and blood tests. During surgury I lost quite abit of blood and had to have a transfusion. Problem is...all that blood i lost....is sitting in my abdominal wall. Basically my muscle and existing fat cells have soaked up the blood that i lost and is just sitting under my rib cage. While the the bleeding has stopped, im home now, with this horrible "bruise" that covers my left side of my stomach, only in pain because i can feel this thing that weighs about as much as a baseball shifting all the time. Doc says he can either drain it surgically or I can wait to let it absorb naturally.
My question to you guys....anyone have anything similar? and now that im home...im still on liquids but i realize that i am getting next to nothing in nutrition right now, so 4 days out how much longer till i can try a protien shake, mostly cause i can feel myself physically weak.
Man you guys weren't kidding about the first 2 weeks
