Topic: RE: Behavioral Evaluation in Ann Arbor

I see the doctors and therapists at the Racheal Upjohn Center on Plymouth Road over my Domino Farms, but I don't know if they do the bariatric evaluation.  I wasn't going their when I had my surgery, so I saw a different doctor in Howell (he was not a U of M doc though).

Good Luck... Hope you can find something....

OH the appointments number for where I go is 1-734-764-6443  I may be worth the call at least....

Can anyone recommend a therapist in Ann Arbor for my psychiatric evaluation required for bariatric surgery? Specifically anyone within U of M because I have UM Premier Care insurance.

Thanks :D

**UPDATE 9/25** I found out my hospital uses their own therapist. Thanks!

Yes that is what the panni is. She is also tightening my stomach muscles so I wont have a muffin top. The back lift is a continual cut all the way around. It lifts your butt and some of the excess skin on the out side of your legs. She is also rearranging some fat back over my tail bone. I have terrible tail bone pain. I am getting excited about it and nervous at the same time. I am sorry your insurance does not cover it. Lets hope when they renew your insurance contract at work it will cover it. Or maybe hope just to hit the lotto.

Hi Cheryl,  Im really happy for you that you are able to have HAP pay for the panni......that is just the removal of the bottom of your tummy isnt it?  Im not sure about the back lift, Ive heard of them but never looked anything up on it.  Do hope you have a safe surgery and recovery.    I wish my insurance would cover the panni for me but it wont....

I am having mine done at Henry Ford in Detroit by Dr. Tepper. I have HAP through WalMart. I had to go to my pcp for 6 months and complain of rashes and also show a stable weight. HAP is covering the panni. I am also having (not sure of real name) a back lift. It will cost an extra $5400 for that. I am a bit scared. Dr said I can not sit for 10 days. I have to stand or lay unless going to the bathroom or riding in car. She seems like a nice Doctor and I seen lots of her befor and after photos. Very intresting. Tight stomach muscles, nice but, now all I need is a dude. lol

I'm going for a consultation with Dr. DiNick in a couple of weeks. I'm hopeful that insurance will cover at least some of the surgery, but we'll see... I had my RNY at Barix (in Ypsilanti). Dr. DiNick works out of Barix but also has another office in Novi...
