Topic: RE: 22 month Post Op blood work, NOT GOOD NEWS, NEED HELP !!
I agree with Saxmann on the hypoglysemia. I am out this Nov. 9 yrs. I keep Glucose on me at all times for the hypo...Mine drops low and I go out if I do not get it back up. Being tired is normal for all of the low readings you are having. I too get iron infusions every 6 months as I can not maintain normal levels. It does not help that I had breast cancer 1 1/2 yrs ago. But today I am healthy and happy....Good Luck!

Topic: RE: Anyone heard about Dr Mark Pleatman in Michigan
I used Dr. Pleatman for my VSG in early July this year. The experience was a good one overall. I would use him again and recommend him.

Hi Laurie,
I do remember you, and Jon and Theresa...I was just reading an email reminding me that my anniversary was last week 8/4...it's been 7 years...unbelievable...life has changed so much but yet somethings never change.
I'm very lucky in the fact that I've kept all of the weight I've lost off...I don't have alot of health issues, mainly iron and B12. The tool still works, if I eat to fast or take to much I get sick, I guess that's a good thing. I had to have a scope done last year because I was getting sick all the time, but its better now.
Let's see what else..oh yeah, I got married last year at the ripe old age of 53...lol..he is a great guy.
It's so good to see all of your smiling faces on here...I still consider myself a part of the Mich group never quite clicked with anyone in New Mexico.
I hope everyone is doing great.

Topic: September 1st...VSG Day!
Friday got the call from my surgeon's office that I'm approved for my VSG! Then, she said I could get in on September 1st! Well, I was just shaking like a leaf, got queasy stomach, felt like laughing, felt like crying!! So then I said "I have to talk to my husband first!" Looked at the calendar and realized that it's just before Labor Day so I called the surgeons office right back and said "Yes, September 1st is a great day!"
First told my MI OH'r friend (who's beginning her process too), then told my husband, then told my boss and coworker, then told my Mom (who thinks I should just get an operation on my elbow...because isn't it our arm that puts our food into our mouths)...ignored her comments and then decided to announce here today my surgery date.
Hey...no guts...lots of glory!!
