I had my sleeve last year, 5/4/10, and am just now getting to 1200 calories.  You might want to take a look at the handouts from the Nut, to review.  Good Luck

These stalls suck! At 8 weeks today I have had 2 different weeks that I haven't lost, but then make up for it the following week. Having read this forum for quite some time I have noticed that most doctors calorie requirements for VSG are 600-800 and you are at 1200. How does the rest of your post op diet go?

good morning Mary,

sounds like you had a very productive day weds.  It would be rough to bake all day and not indulge ion the spoils!

I made better choices as far as food goes weds.  but still overate.  I did walk for 30 mins at the dog park though.

Today is a brand new day and a chance to restart positive behavior!

your body is probably in what is called the hibernation mode. it is holding on to the weight because of your reduced calorie intake it thinks your starving. Just keep doing what your doing and the weight will come off. you may want to be sure your getting your required protein in and drinking the water you need too.

Keep up the good work.

ok, its weds and yest was kind of a flop.  i was stressed so i barely ate, and when i did it was comfort foods, like carbs of course.  but i did add protein powder to much of what we ate.  i even put it in the pancake mix for the kids!  Today is a new day and a chance to start over...

Here is my meal/exercise list:

1/4 c hot granola with protein powder
baked beans for lunch or some sort of bean salad
salsbury steak for dinner
cheese sticks in between for snacks

bike ride
10 mins treadmill
15 mins walking around dog park which is my relaxation time for ME

dont forget to make time for yourself to relax today!

Hi BM Tuesday and not doing too bad.
I made some rigatoni with low fat ricotta and low fat cottage cheese spinach and mushrooms, baked in sauce made from scratch no salt but a lot of spices. served with a big salad of greens and tomatoes.

fresh strawberries and Greek yogurt for a snack

didn't exercise much since I spent most of the day sleeping off some sinus medicine I took last night.

Tomorrow focus
Walk 10000 steps
drink 8-8oz of water
get 80 gs of protein
and take my vitamins

first day on with the hands on training tomorrow! wish me luck

Hi Mary,

I am glad you are doing so well in your training, but I expected nothing less from you.  You are a smart lady!

Well, I had small successes throughout the day yesterday.  I did not walk the 10 mins I wanted to, but as far as meals went, I made better decisions.  Although I over-carbed it.  Today is a new day and I will succeed each hour at a time.

I plan on keeping this thread going all week, so we all can track our progress.  Just look back to Monday and keep your mind moving forward.

Todays Goals:

1.  eat a protein infused breakfast

2.  walk 10 mins on my treadmill before lunch

3.  bike ride with the kids

4.  DO SOMETHING RELAXING FOR ME!  Dogpark it is!  [You will see Dogpark a lot as it is very theraputic to my soul seeing mother nature at work....]

sorry about the low sugar, it sucks and makes you so off balance for the rest of the day!
