Did your sisters have surgery too? Or just dieting on their own? Yes, the no flour or anything white is what I hear works....that's tough for this pasta-eating Mama, but yes...gotta do it! Nice to hear from you! T

I haven't been on here in a long time but need to get back in line also so thought I would do some lurking around. . . sorry to hear you are struggling!

My sisters have both lost more than 100 lbs in 8 months weighing and measuring with no flour and sugar . . they were both over 280 lbs . . I have given up flour but am not having the luck they did.

You're welcome! I have found this website to be very helpful. I am still in the early stages also. I was torn between the RNY and VSG, but have since decided on the VSG. The RNY was way to drastic for me also!

Thanks Christy, you're the first to respond...I'm starting to wonder if he really doesn't do many surgeries, or his patients just don't like going on-line! LOL

Either way, I'm still going to meet with him before I form an opionion (obviously). He seemed really nice at the Bariatric Surgery Seminar, but he seemed to prefer the RNY surgery. I really don't think I want to go that drastic, we'll see.

I have a friend that used Dr. Bacal and had a VSG at Oakwood. She really liked him and trusted him with the surgery. Hope this helps a little!

I feel your pain I am on day 8. It gets better but not much. Try to go outside if you can it helps trust me I just got through Easter weekend... Try to not think about food I know its hard but nothing tastes as good as thin feels
