My Body's A Wonderland...
Yep, that's right. Wow, I have this amazing new body - some of it good some not. But here's what's surprised me so far...
- I have an actual arm pit. So not all of the fat before went to my belly, hips and butt - some actually went in my arm pit. I'm the mom of two elementary aged boys and now I can proudly arm pit fart with them. - We have a mirror at the bottom of our stairs. Every morning I watch myself walk down the stairs. I actually have space between my legs. - Puddles, puddles every where. I'm lookin' pretty good in clothes but neckid - yikes! I was lying on the bed in my undies last weekend just amazed at the puddles of skin at my sides. Oh well, I'd rather have them puddles than fat filled. - My chest - the girls. Don't quite have words to explain them but they are just puddles of flab and flesh. Found a good bra at Kohl's though. - I have a lovely collar bone - haven't seen it in a while. - I can run over a mile without stopping. NO WAY I could have done that a year. I'm training to run a 5K and should be there within the month. - People don't recognize me. If it's someone I have not seen since last fall or later, I automatically say my name or "Connor's/John's mom". - I did cartwheels in the yard yesterday and I'm still living and moving today. Share with me how your body has, or what you're looking forward to, changed. Happy Friday all! Have a wonderful Memorial weekend! Stacie
This is an AWESOME POST!!! Thank you for sharing! What I'm enjoying most about my new body?
- collarbones. I never get sick of seeing them!
- hip, ankle, shoulder, spine and wrist bones. Whodathunk they were in there, buried in all that flubber???
- I can go up & down the big staircase at Cabela's multiple times and not even come CLOSE to that "I'm about to have a massive coronary" feeling!
- I think this might be my favorite. For years, I made my jeans last longer by sewing patches in between my thighs, where they'd rub through to bare skin after a few months of wear. Now? My thighs no longer rub together! In fact, they barely touch - something that never even crossed my mind when I was considering what "normal" might feel like! No white rub-out areas or nuthin! I love walking and paying attention to how my legs don't connect! There is one lil' drawback to the shrinking thighs, tho. It has to do with trapped gas, and that's all I'm sayin'.
