MIA--Sorry--but...(plz read) ((LONG)
but the excuse 'I've been busy' is the only valid excuse I have! Driving for 16 hours/trip (to Wausau and back, twice) and being in a writing frenzy to finish off my placement, time just flew! I had only time to do the quick posting about the size 10s (of which I'm still deliriously happy!). I feel badly about not posting a comment to every posting--but I blessed each and every one of you as I read your post!!
My good ol' son Quin and I were honoured by Debi's gift of driving an hour each way to meet us in Chippewa Falls as we headed to Wausau on June 13th. She gave up her own b'day celebration to do so!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEETIE!! You are such an amazing person! I KNEW you'd do well at the Holy Spirit conference! YOU ROCK! And you are such an inspiration! LOVE YOU!!
I REALLY appreciated the birthday best wishes, and do so thanks my best bud DEB for instigating it! I'm at age where I can honestly say I'm older than my teeth and hopefully can leave it at that! (An elderly friend's retort to the question about her age.) (If the truth be told, I hit the grand OLD age of 51. And yup--that's young--for a fossil!!))
AND I AM DONE AND FINISHED WITH PLACEMENT!! Halleluia!!
My supervisors gave me glowing recommendations and the top boss said to use her name for references!! I OFFICIALLY have an 'Honours Bachelor of Social Work, majoring in Gerontology, with certificates in Dementia studies and Palliative care'. PRAISE GOD!! He got me through this major testing ground and I thank Him for that! Now I just need Him to lead me to a good job so I can pay off my debts and get a real life!
SOOOOOO---my dear friends, thank you for your support and love. I truly cherish each and every one of you! I have been remembering you in prayer and thought.
And hey---Quin and I are heading to Wausau AGAIN on July 3. Maybe we'll stay overnight somewhere in the Mpls are that night. Is anybody interested in getting together somewhere? If there is an interest, we'll book a hotel; if not, we'll travel on straight through to Wausau. Let me know, EH? Meeting ya'll is one of my delights in my old age. (HEEHEE!)

Thanks, Lori!
Sometimes ya gotta step back, catch your breath, and take another look at where you've been and where you are now, just to get the right perspective on life. This whole journey certainly has not been without an enormous stress factor--but 'with a little help from my friends..' I'm DONE!!

Congrats on getting your degree! I am glad to hear that you had safe travels and a good birthday! Summers do seem to get so crazy and before we know it they are through and we are back to cold and snow! As of right now I do not have any plans for that first week in July and would love to get together with you for dinner or coffee or something! Enjoy a little downtime and good luck with the job search from the glowing reviews and reference from your supervisor I am sure you will be able to find a good job! Love & Hugs! Nicole
Thanks, Nicole!
It would be delightful to get together with you! I've been admiring your from afar--you're so dedicated to doing this journey the right way!! You are truly an inspiration!
Now that the pressure is off--for a very short time, anyway--my apartment is getting the cleaning that is soooo due. It's amazing how much clutter can accumulate in a short time! But most surprising are the ginormous dust bunnies that take up residence under furniture. I'm sure they mate with the cat---so much cat hair in those bunnies!
Anyway--so hope to meet you in a few weeks!
Thanks for your kind words!

Oh Sue! You are far too kind, my coming up to see you was purely selfish on my part - I just really wanted to meet you!
I'm still really thrilled about your size 10's!
congrats on all your achievements! I know you'll do well. Hopefully you can find a job in your field quickly! God has worked wonders in your life!! And He has blessed each and every one of us with you!
I totally want to meet up the 3rd also...
Debi

Awww, Deb~
Your sweet words bring tears to my eyes! You are just soooo wonderful and loving!!
(I guess perhaps we should have a mutual admiration club?!
)
Words cannot convey just how relieved I am to be finished with school! And I do realize that God is behind it all. Even the fact that I ended up in university at all is a testimony to His planning. (Not that I totally agree sometimes...
Life lessons can be quite painful!)
Anyway---it would be absolutely wonderful to meet up you with again! Hopefully time and place will coordinate!

I'll join that club!!!
Now that you are finished with school, what are your plans now? Do you have any potential jobs in mind? I agree that life lessons can be very painful at times, it's always best when you can look back and see the growth and see what came out of the trial. But going through it, it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
You are an inspiration! You've accomplished so much! I'm sure your kids must be very proud of you too!
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Debi
