I'm almost 2 months out, and hit the 50 lb mark this morning! My good friend told me that's what her 6 yr old daughter weighs! WOW!!

I've been feeling great- even the morning lightheadedness and low energy have gone! Eating is going well- so far, so good!

I glad to see you didn't really lose a child and that it was just a figure of speech. Congrats on your loss!!!! You are doing great.

That is an awesome accomplishment!  Might be time for a new avatar pic?  Keep posting your progress. It is very encouraging for us new folks (RNY 10/8/08 - only 1 week out and wondering if I did the right thing because I miss food, I'm sick of liquids, and very crabby )

Hi Diane, this, too, will pass...If/when you're on full liquids, spice powders and extract flavorings will be your temporary life-saver.  Add poultry seasoning to strained cream of chicken, mushroom, celery, or broccoli soup.  Add Italian seasoning to tomato soup. Add any extract flavoring to vanilla protein shakes or vanilla CIB:  lemon, raspberry, almond, peppermint. Add apple pie spice (or cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, all spice, etc.) to unsweetened baby food applesauce (and a titch of Splenda). Are you seeing a licensed psychologist who specializes in WLS?  Mine has been a godsend prior to my own and even at two-plus years out. We all became morbidly obese, stuffing our emotions with food rather than learning how to deal with issues.   Initially with the rapid weight loss, many hormones are released from your body, thus causing "wondering if I did the right thing because I miss food, I'm sick of liquids, and very crabby )."  Are you journaling?  It's so interesting later on reading what you'll later forget from the beginning.  Now is the best time to implement behavior modification:  find a new hobby, walk, walk, walk, carrying your new 'best friend' water bottle with you everywhere.  Each and every morning, you start with clean slate, to re-affirm your overall commitment to this life-long journey.  You're well on your way to becoming a happier, healthier amazing 'you.'  Breathe, breathe, breathe! Sudden weight and inches lost will happen so quickly, it will be helpful to  regularly take your measurements  because at any given point the scale will 'stall', though the inches will continue to melt!  You can do this, you can do this!   Take care of you!  Gentle hugs , Patti
