I did not get that job...
with the Alzheimer's Society. **SIGH**
I immediately told myself that this job is not the one God wanted me to have. (Positive self-talk, eh? And God--did You hear me say that?! I'm still hanging onto You!)
Talk about a 'Catch 22'! Even though I was one of the Top Three candidates, I did not get the job because I don't have much experience leading groups. So how do I get experience if I don't get the chance to lead groups??
I guess I will continue putting out resumes...
((HUGS)) and thanks to all for your support! I ain't giving up!!

Thanks, Darlin', for your prayers and good thoughts.
I've always been one of those people who God had to throw a brick at to get my attention. (Case in point is me getting run over by a big kid on a bicycle and fracturing BOTH elbows as I landed face first on the sidewalk while at work delivering parcels. {This was in 2000!} This has lead to 3 left elbow operations and getting a bionic elbow joint. Can't lift over 25#s with that arm and thus ended my lucrative career as courier. BUT WCB did put me through 5 years of full time university! It took a major accident for God to get my attention to go to school. Never woulda gone if I had to pay for it. On the downside--now that I have graduated and took the job-hunting course, WCB is done with me--a $2200 short-fall on my monthly income. OUCH!!!!)
So before I ramble on too long--this job is a shut door. I totally believe that God DOES have something for me SOMEWHERE! Just wish I had an idea WHERE!
I'm thinking I'm gonna have to apply for a job at the coffee chain that's advertising for help. Just can't stretch my wages to pay all my bills.
ANYWAY-- maybe this is a 'brick' that will make moving back to WI easier. My MIL is getting choked up on the idea of me leaving the country, but she realizes I have to do what I have to do.
LOVE YOU!!

Thanks for your kind thoughts, Deb.
Yup--it's a 'Catch 22'--you need experience, but no one will hire you without experience. I'm going to keep on trudging along, putting out resumes.
SOMEONE'S gotta want me! My major is working with the elderly--and us boomers are getting there!
BTW--you look awesome! WTG working your band!
