some prayers, kind words, and positive vibes today.  The realization of NOT getting either of those 2 WI jobs is settling in, and I looked up the Masters program on the university website.  WHOA MAN!!  It scares the heck outta me--looks way tooo much for me.  (Yeah--I KNOW that 'if God brings you to it, He will see you through it'--my motto all the time I was working on my Bachelors.)

I'm starting to despair getting a job in my field .

Feel free to tell me to get off the pity potty.

Sure feels like Monday to me.

Thanks, ya'll!

Sue,

Sometimes we all need to lick our wounds.  This is a time for you to examine where you feel God is leading you.  You're doing all you can do: you're praying, you're asking for prayer, you're sending out resumes, you're watching for a job, you're being faithful.  You are sitting in God's hand right now, He will provide the correct path for you to take.

So go ahead and mourn what you had hoped for, but continue to pray and to seek God's guidance.  Then decide to stop mourning and to move forward, either with schooling or perhaps a job in a similar field (while you keep searching for your dream job).  If you take the step in faith, God will open the door you need to walk through and close those you need to avoid.

I'm praying for you, as I'm sure many others are also.  Try not to dispair, rest in the arms of Him who saved you.  You've come this far and worked so hard.  The masters program may be scary, but maybe this is the time of your life to do it.  You're an intelligent woman.

I love you my friend!
Hugs,
Debi

Sue,

I think we all need a pity party once in awhile.....And a good cry.....It actually helps me, It gets me to kick myself even harder.....Times are tough right now for so many people, I thought I had it rough.....Then I see people living on the streets, eating out of garbage cans, and I think.....I have it pretty good......

Just keep plugging along......Something has to come up......

Were here for you......Kelly

Sue,

I am returning to school come January, and while I will be going for my Bachelor's(not Masters) degree, I too feel that trepidation. Mainly because I've never been in a university-type setting for school before. I had gone to a technical college and community college previously. So the thought of being in a "big school" scared the living snot out of me! LOL

You will find a job, don't worry so much about it honey. In time, it will come in time. Just don't focus on it so much, although I do know that's not always the easiest thing to do... sometimes you've just got to.

Go cozy up with a good book and enjoy the day. Lord knows I will as I get to go to sleep for the day. Oh the wonderment that is working the graveyard shift. Yeah, NOT. Thank goodness I only do it once a week, the rest of my shifts are evenings(3pm-11pm).

((hugs)) You'll rise above this little glitch in your path and on to something bigger and better! I believe in you, and I hope you do too.

Sue:

You are caring, well-educated, young, healthy, and good-looking.  Sooner or later an opportunity will pop up and you will be able to take it without a second thought about your health, appearance or wardrobe (assuming you are allowed to wear your camel colored coat ).  Although it is awfully frustrating for you, the anticipation of something you really want can be every bit as exciting as when your hope becomes reality.  Embrace the mystery and suspense of it all!

Should the job market in your field continue to be slow to respond to your charms, grad school is certainly within your reach, even if the prospect of it is a bit daunting.  You will succeed!

Good luck,

RP
