1 year surgiversary on Thursday!

I can't believe it's been a whole year.  I'm down a total of 135 from my highest weight.  I literally weigh less than half of what I used to weigh!

I have an appointment to see my surgeon in the morning at 8:30.  I'm excited about this visit.

Saturday I'm going out to celebrate my 1 year with my special friend, Gary.  We're getting all dressed up for it.  I borrowed a little black dress from a friend (size 4!!!), high heels from my aunt, a gorgeous necklace from another friend...the only thing I'll be wearing that's mine are my undies!!!

Debi- Congratulations on surpassing your goal weight.  Surpassing isn't the right word, but I'm sure you know what I mean.  Well done!

Thank you!  I'm really excited about it.  I've been maintaining for about 3 months.  I never thought I could ever maintain.  This surgery is the best thing I've ever done!

I do plan to have a wonderful time with Gary!  I'm pretty excited about it.  I can't think of a better way to celebrate the day that changed my life, than with a man that has changed my life!  Want to hear something funny???  Guess what one of the things were doing is??? Going out to eat!  LOL...

We'll have fun for sure...We're going to Benihana's for dinner then somewhere quiet after that.  We're starting a devotion time together. 

I miss all my OH friends.  I just haven't been home much and never seem to have time to go on the board anymore...

SIZE FOUR???!!!

I'm pretty sure my PAMPERS were a size 12, 40+ years ago.  (Okay, so they probably didn't HAVE Pampers that long ago, but you get my drift...)

YOU are a SHINING example of what this surgery can do for people - I'd say you look FABULOUS, but it's been so bloody long since I've had the chance to see you, I can only imagine!

Have a FABULOUS date, ROCK that tiny black dress, and REPORT BACK HERE PRONTO!!!

I have to get to a coffee soon.  I haven't seen anyone since FOREVER!!!  I bet I wouldn't even recognize most people anymore.  There are so many new faces on the board now.  I think that's wonderful that so many people are starting new lives too!!  Good thing we're all getting so skinny - more room on that loser's bench!

I'm hoping my daughter will be home Saturday and will take a picture of me in the little black dress and heels!  I tried on 2 dresses and asked the guys at work to tell me which one to wear - Gary is my best friend, but I wouldn't mind if he saw me as a woman instead of a buddy!  The guys nixed the dress I loved - they said it showed TOO MUCH skin!!  LOL!!!  Can you believe it???  Me??? In a dress that the men at work considered too sexy!!  I about die laughing each time I think of that!!  ME!!!!  I guess this surgery really does work, doesn't it?!  The dress we decided on is sweet and modest according to the guys - they said it matches my personality.  Awwwwwwww.  They don't approve of the shoes, but hey, they make my legs look 10 feet long and HOT...

Email me info on the next couple of coffees you attend, time and location.  If I can work it in, I want to make it to one, before the weather gets too yucky to drive in.  I may look hot in a sexy black dress, but I'm still a chicken to drive in the snow!  LOL

Yes, size 4 dress...My work pants are a size 6 and are a little loose.  I can now wear a size small or medium top, depending on how form fitting it is.  I like them a little loose.  A year ago I was in a size 26 pants and a 3x top.  Wow!! I NEVER thought I would get down to this size.  I honestly only hoped for a size 14, but was afraid I'd never make it to a 14.  So many wow's, so many changes.  Me, the quiet shy girl is coming out of my shell...but not too much.  The guys at work call me Sister Debi - they think I'm nunnish!  LOL!!!

I MISS YOU!!!!  Wrap your arms around yourself and squeeze...that's a hug from me!

Debi, Congrats on such a wonderful year success!! I am dreaming of my weightloss and where I'll be at in a year. I also started in Aug.5th in a size 26  3x and I't  would be wonderful to be a 14 like you said.  Tell me about your fills on your band? I go for my next fill on Monday, I've had 2. 1st one 3cc.  2nd one 1cc so I have 4cc's in my 10cc band. Just wondering how much you had  to get to your sweet spot?  Thanks for sharing and have the time of your life!!!!!  Margo E.
