Much better today
First of all, I would like to thank so many of you for the support. Really, this journey would be a lot harder without you. I am so thankful to have met (online or in person) such wonderful caring people. I only hope I can be as helpful to newbies (and everyone else) when I'm further along.
Doing much better today gastrointestinally. However, I was surprised that I actually hurt a lot more and am a lot more tired than I have been. I know that's to be expected. Trying to take it easy but not sit on my behind too much. Considering going and picking up my mail in Eagan later but may do it tomorrow after coffee.
My surgeon called me this morning. I was sleeping so I didn't speak with him but I was glad he was concerned and reachign out. He said that 10-20% of RNY patients need IV hydration sometime in the first two months. He gave me a specific person to call if anything else happens as they can probably give me an IV in the office rather than in the ER. Though that p-ed me off a bit as he made it sound like I ran to the ER instead of being told to go. Oh well, I've now got a person to call with my issues and the surgeon even left his cell number and his email address to call him as well.
I am looking forward to coffee tomorrow morning. Surprisingly, the cats really aren't that good of conversationalists. Though after my piercing scream after Sugar landed directly on my sorest incision, I think they have learned to aim for the lap instead.
I'm a bit too scattered to work on a craft or anything today. I'm working on putting my cds on my new IPod. That was my treat for myself to assist me in exercising, which I've always hated. I will be seeking advice on that too, once I can walk upright.
I'm also going through my old mags and cutting out anything that's helpful, so of course they can sit on my desk til I throw them into the recycling. LOL actually, I'm going to do a book of recipes for my pureed/soft stage and later on so I can easily access them. Recipes on a computer have never been useful to me.
I am rambling, can you tell I'm in the house alone with two napping cats?

Whoo hooo!
Glad to know things are better today! How long are you off of work? I know post-op is nothing like a vacation, but take advantage of just doing nothing!
Can't wait to see you tomorrow! Let me know if you need any rides this weekend! I'm so happy for you...I can't wait to be where you're at!
