Regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas or not, what are you doing on Christmas Day? Just curious to see how everyone spends it.

Me? I don't celebrate on  the 25th... we do our holiday celebration on New Year's Eve (and open presents then). So on the 25th... I work from noon to 11pm. Woo.. lol I am hoping my friend will stop by my work though and bring me some Christmas cheer. :)

How about you? :)

We'll be staying home. We don't live anywhere near any family but even if we did, we can't get the truck out of the snow so we'll be hanging at home playing our new Wii!!!!!!

We're going to walk to town today to pick up some egg nog (for hubby) and meat log for Christmas snacks. Wish us luck!

This year will be calm and quiet. It was my year to host Christmas. However, due to some other family members pending health issues, Christmas was canceled! Yep, canceled LOL

We have a couple kids out of the 7 that live local. They will stop over for a bit at some point. Maybe next year Christmas will be filled with chaos LOL

Looking forward to the peace and quiet of it all

Merry Christmas Elena!

Linda and I invited a couple of friends over for the holiday.  Christmas eve (after work), we're planning a prime rib dinner, gathering around the Wii, and kicking some serious butt!  Then, because we were good girls (I our minds anyway), we'll await Santa's arrival.  Christmas morning, we'll open gifts, and then eat some more!!!  Ham this time.  It's lounging, sharing friendships, and playing Wii.  In our hearts, we'll celebrate the Lord's birthday in our private way.

Happy Holidays!!

Elena....hello sweetheart....always nice to see your posts.

I am down in Iowa visiting my daughter Jamie, SIL Travis, and grandchildren Nic and Grace.  We did our Christmas last night as I was to leave tomorrow for MN. However the transmission in my car went out so now I will be buying a car.....grrrrrrr!!

My plans were to be in St. Paul to spend the rest of the week with my daughter Carrie, grandchildren Kyleigh, Amanda and Lucas.

I am going looking at cars with my SIL this evening. If all goes well I will hope to still make it to St. Paul by Christmas. Wish me luck!!!

Love and hugs.....connie d

We're going to church at 4pm Christmas Eve.   I'll be cooking ham dinner for the 5 of us here at our house.   Christmas day will be spent at my MIL's for lasagna dinner and good old fashioned family time.   We're hosting my FIL and his girlfriend for brunch on Sat.   Thankfully I'm finally feeling better!

I'm working Christmas Eve (8-4:30), then have no plans the rest of the night, or Christmas Day.  Our family celebrated Christmas early so those with kids can celebrate with their own families.

(Hey, if you're bored on the 25th, just holler - I could stop by and cheer.)

Merry Christmas Elena!  I'm working for a gal 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Christmas eve day, then my sister will be picking me up to spend the night with her family (Burnsville) , and my parents (live near Wadena) will be down.  All my life, our Christmas eve tradition is church, then going to whomever's hosting and have Tom & Jerrys--the REAL thing, made from scratch.  This  year, Sheri's making her 'better than Olive Garden' wonderful lasagna, special home-made creamed corn, etc.

This is the first year our family will not be all together Christmas Day, due to nieces/nephewshaving plans with their in-laws families.  So, our family (folks, four married sibs with families) will be getting together at my other sister Laurie's (Shakopee).  Prime rib, salmon, and we all bring sides, salads, etc., and I sure miss having my elder sister's decadent, rich desserts!  Just a teeny taste is enough for this pouchie!  Also, we've dropped actual gift- giving, and each brings a wrapped gift designated for 'guy' or 'gal', then one of my sisters-in-law made up a long hilarious game where all the gifts are passed back and forth per the read story, then at the ending, everyone just keeps the gift they end up with, and there's some trading.  Then we gals take turns playing piano, and we all sing. Afterward, we continue being LOUD, and some watch a new movie, some play games downstairs.....always fun, funny, wonderful and very noisy all the wonderful day!
Wishing each and everyone a blessed Christmas (or your holiday) and much happiness in 2009!  Hugs, Patti  (sorry so long, though I enjoy sharing!)

We are far from family on both sides-- California, Vermont and North Carolina.  For several years, it has been DH and me.  We'll go to the late candlelight service- where I have been the lay reader for several years.  Then we open our gifts Christmas Day, and call family members long distance.  I'll cook a special meal, although my portions, of course are small!  I'm thinking of doing something with a filet mignon this year.
