A quick positive insurance story

We hear so many horrifying and frustrating insurance stories but I just wanted to share what put a smile on my face today.

Since I had health problems earlier in the year, I had reached my out-of-pocket max so my insurance is supposed to pay 100%. And gosh darn it, they did! I got my explanation of benefits for the surgery and hospital stay. They paid everything (well the negotiatied price anyway.) Everything! And under patient's responsibility, all zeros.

I am a very happy girl.
And now that I've seen how much the hospital actully charges for the surgery, I don't want to mess up anything that expensive!

Gotta love the zeros!  I'm very happy with my insurance as well, no hassles getting approval, and they paid everything they are supposed to-- I had about $1500 in coinsurance to pay, that was all.
