PNC support group anad Oprah
I may have missed something since I didn't check the board daily over the holidays. I got the notice about the new format for the PNC support group. What happened? Does this mean Nurse Barb won't be leading the group any more? I think I will still give it a try.....but my expectations are set on low.
On another topic, I watched yesterday's Oprah this morning while I was on the treadmill. I have been "off" Oprah for awhile........she was getting too full of herself. However, I was totally blown away by her show. She pegged me to a T. It's not about food, it's about love. That's what I took away.....love of self. And Carney Wilson did a great job of verbalizing her struggles, too.
Thanks for clearing up anything I might have missed as far as support meetings.

Hi Pat,
My understanding is that Barb is not feeling well, last I knew she was on medical leave. I got the email yesterday and am concerned that the PNC group is falling apart. I think all we can do, is "try", my timing issues, to get there and give it a try. See if their new plan will work. I know that I definitely need the time spent with others facing the same challenges.

I'll be there tomorrow, but I have low expectations, too. I was at one of the meetings with the new format and was not impressed. Why fix what's not broken? If the format stays like they're proposing, I won't be sticking with it. I'll get more support out of going to coffee groups on Saturdays. A lot of us come BECAUSE of how the group is (was) run, and BECAUSE of Barb. I'd hate to see her run off from facilitating the group, but that's what it sounded like to me, too.
