Dr. Sayeed Ikramuddin info

I am looking forward to a seminar with Dr. Ikramuddin, and I am wondering for those who had him, do you recommend him as a surgeon? How is his personality? Anything I should know or you want to add?

I didn't have him, but have a few friends who did - and they thought he was great.  He visits you every day, and he'll take the time to answer any questions you have, although he doesn't seem to chit chat for the sake of 'friendliness' - but he's more than willing to spend the time to answer whatever you need to know.

He is fantastic! Definately not one for chit chat but he is very warm, friendly and open. He will answer all of your questions. He is a no nonsense guy but very compassionate. Good luck, I will be curious to see how you like him.

The U's follow-up care is kinda spotty, though, so make sure you have a good primary care provider as well as a support system of other pre-ops for some checks and balances.

I had Dr. Ikramuddin, and cannot recommend him highly enough.  He took lots of time with me to fully explain things, answer my questions, etc.  Even though I had unexpected complications during surgery, everything was fine in the end-- and he even drew pictures for me post op, so I knew exactly what happened.  I feel my surgical follow up is fine-- although they do expect you to have a primary care provider to manage meds, etc.  I felt perfectly comfortable calling the surgical office, the resident on call, or the dieticians with any questions.

i had him as my surgeon over 5 years ago and I had a great experience with him!! To Me he is all business and is a very good surgeon. I am glad that I choose him as my surgeon! Good luck with your decision!
