100 pounds gone!
I'm a Century Club member as of this morning! I was so hoping to hit that 100 lb mark before my surgeon follow up visit on Thursday, and I did it!!
It's been an amazing 6 months so far! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have WLS, grateful for an outstanding surgical team, and grateful for the many friends here on OH.
The 'wow' moments have been many, and those moments continue. For the first time, I had to return clothing that was too big! Last week, shopping with a friend at Victoria's Secret, she urged me to buy something, and I replied, I don't think this stuff fits me yet-- she took one hard look at me and said, Oh Yes, it will!-- and it did! So I bought a little something!
n do more movements in Pilates, and in general, find I am moving through my day with more energy, grace, and 'lightness'. I ran into a knitting friend this weekend who had not seen me since before WLS-- she said, 'the hair looks familiar, the face looks kind of familiar, but that body-- not familiar at all!'.
Looking back, even knowing that I would have a complicated surgical procedure and longer recovery, I would do this again. The results have been so worth it!
