Christopher & Banks, not CJ Banks! YES!!!
I went shopping a week ago this past Friday with one of my sisters and she headed into CJ Banks, so I went right in with her. I was looking at the clothes and pretty soon it dawned on me that just maybe I could finally shop "next door" at Christopher & Banks. So I told my sister I was going to head over there to take a look. Needless to say I didn't find anything.
Fast forward to this past Friday...I go back and decided I really needed a pair of pants, so I'd check the clearance racks. Out of habit, I went in CJ Banks.
Went next door again, looked at their clearance rack and found two shirts that I thought may work. Headed into the dressing room and just about bawled my eyes out! The clerk said "ma'am, how are those working for you?" "I said better than I expected and this is SO fun to finally be able to shop in here". When I came out to pay for those two shirts, she asked what I meant by that comment. So I wasn't shy & told her I had a Duodenal Switch, which is a type of WLS. She congratulated me and told me to come back again soon.
It may not seem like a big WOW to some, but to me, it was just fantastic! One of the shirts I got is the brown & pink one in my new avatar (thanks Elena for the photo!) - size Large. Yippee!
So, for the sake of clothing - I started at a 24W pants & a 2XL or 3XL (depending on mfr.) top. Today I had on a size 16 pant and a size Medium sweater, though I'm still more comfy in size Large tops, but the sweater didn't look half bad and I didn't feel like I was in a sausage casing. LOL
And I have to give a shout out to the lovely Betsy B. because she really encouraged me to head to Unique thrift store and I'm so pumped about it now after talking to her, that I've officially got a date on my calendar this week to go. Hip hip hooray!

That is a HUGE WOW moment! It's so nice to be able to step into one of those stores and actually feel welcome and comfortable in your own mind... confident that something you may like there may be just for you!
Unique Thrift Store is a fun place... though I have never looked for clothes there... I usually looked for home decor stuff there. Perhaps I'll stop into the one in Plymouth sometime soon and see what they have.

This is the Wow that I still have every time I go shopping. I just hated shopping and got so depressed every time I had to buy a 26 or 3X. Now I'm just blown away and it doesn't seem real when I shop. I guarantee there are many, many more experiences like this in your future.
