So much for a stress free recovery
Sorry all this is coming at you in a time you need to relax.
If I were you,to which I am not. I would keep my tail right at that job until the very last day. Then you will at least be able to get some unemployment. If you leave ahead of time you will not get that. Play it smart.
If all else fails and you need something to do with your idle time on your hands. I am guess right around May will be when we finally get to start the clean up here from the floods! Come on over to Fargo and lend a hand or two LOL

Awww - I sure do feel the luv
You guys are the best. I know I have time to do some research and hey, business may turn around and by May there will be smooth sailing! I know I won't be out in the cold - we could squeek by with unemployment, etc. but it would suck. My family, in particular my mom, has our back and will support us if we get to that point, which, pray to God doesn't happen.
This is exactly why I pushed to do the surgery now and not after the big project was over. I didn't want to take any chances if I waited until June or July. They weren't happy about it, but I did it anyway.
As it is I am going to go back to work 2 days early to minimize the short fall that STD doesn't cover on income. That's ok, it will still be 2 full weeks off. Not that I WANT to go back to work such as it is, I will just hide out in my office and keep my head down for now!
I really appreciate the outpouring of support - and I did check out the Army Corps of Engineers as a resource - thanks for the tip!
