I do believe your mariage is #1.  I hope you can find a way to get through this without giving up your friends. Maybe backing off for awhile but permanently seems harsh.

I'm hoping once Marty gets home tomorrow night we can talk face to face and figure this out better.......It kills me to give up such a great friend.....I feel backing off of phone calls and e-mails should be good enough, but my marriage has to come first, so we'll see...

Kelly - I am sorry you are going through this.  I know I have been jealous of my husband's friendship with a woman - and she is gay for goodness sakes!  I didn't say it was rational......

Sometimes feelings aren't rational and  you need to let your partner/spouse work through them.  Perhaps he will realize that there is nothing to worry about, or maybe you can find some compromise as other posters have suggested.  I agree that an across the board ultimatum can be a slippery slope.

As the day goes on I'm more at peace with my decision......

I know that if it was my hubby talking to a women I would also be jealous.....So I will respect his wishes......I'll keep the friendship at the coffee get togethers, and not have any phone or e-mail contact.....

Thank you for the message on facebook.....And I'm glad to report that I'm at peace in my decision......Marty and I talked and are on the same path now........I put myself in his place and didn't like the idea of a women calling him.....So I get it....
