Minus 80
In my eyes you are a rockstar in every way Amy! Way to go!
HOPE HOPE HOPE!!!
That is what I feel when reading this post from you. Thank you so much for taking the time to share.
You are right, the newbies or soon to be's really gain a lot from hearing these kinds of things. I have heard no less than 20 times this past week how RNY is so dangerous and "please don't do it..; maybe if you try harder"
It is so awesome to read a post like yours - and I would like to take you up on that offer for menu ideas - for down the road.
Take care and best wishes for continued success!

Amy, you are DA BOMB!!! or - DA BOMBSHELL!!!
You just keep working on seeing yourself as others are seeing you - that's one of the hardest head games of all! I will NEVER be able to use the word "skinny" when referring to myself, I truly don't believe it. But it was never my goal to BE "skinny", so I'm FINE without that word in my vocabulary! The health - that's the thing.
And the friendships. No one ever said anything, pre-op, about the friendships.
Thanks for sharing your milestones with us!!!

Amy,
Congratulations on your fantastic success! Can you believe that even 9 months ago you were still fighting with the insurance company and in just a blink of an eye you're down 80 pounds. Time is all relative right???
And girl...you ARE skinny! Enjoy every single compliment you get and realize that your real friends speak the truth -and we all say YOU'RE SKINNY!!!! I can only dream of one day being in a 14!!!
WAY TO GO GIRLIE!!!
Love you!
Tracy
Hi Amy,
Yours was one of the first I looked for when I first came back on the boards.. wanted to see how you were doing with your journey. Looks and sounds like you are doing great!!!!!
The compliment thing is tough to take.. I am over 2 years out... and still have problems with it... Back in April we had a party for my Mom at her senior High rise..I have been there quite a few times since my surgrey.. anyway, a friend of my moms asked who the girl in the skirt and heels were... My mom looked at her and goes..Dolly you know who that is.. thats Diane... Dolly got a blank look on her face.. Mom said.. My Daughter....She ended up calling me over to her and gushed about my weight loss and hair style change the whole 9 yards... with a group of about 10 old ladies around her.. I was really overwhelmed... My mom was very proud.... I still do not see myself as skinny... probably never will because of the extra skin.. But I do know I fit in a size 12 for the first time in my life. And to this day when I pull my jeans out of the dryer and hold them up... I don't believe it.
Hope things keep going well for you... you deserve it.
Diane
