Therese- Sorry you've experienced a loss as well. That happens way more often than it should, it's just sad!

I think you're supposed to give the b12 inter-muscularly, which is why it goes in the leg.  I wi**** was in a pen-form we could put in our tummy. I know I can handle that.  I managed to stick myself multiple times before I ended up gettin it in.  I need a new lesson from the nurse I think before I try again.

Great Job! I had a hard time doing it the first time and I needed the RN to help me eventually.

LISA- have you had your post op visit yet? They prescribed the B12 to me at my 2 week post op check. That day the RN sat down with me and instructed me how to inject the first one and gave me the Rx for the rest.

HEY KRISTIY--  Just an FYI.. B12 can be injected deeply under the skin or intermuscular. So if its easier, you can inject into your belly fat. I couldn't feel it at all. There are also more nerves in your leg that you could hit and cause some discomfort during the injection.  It was easier for me to inject my belly fat than thinking about ramming it into my leg muscle. Its like it slid right into the fat...

Yay for our progress huh?

Ask for the B-12 prescription at your next appointment.
I was told it could be injected under the skin - I chose my leg only because my belly is still full of bruises and pains from incisions, Heperon injections and the drain tube hole! I didn't want anything more added to the pallette!

So sorry so many of you ladies have lost children - very very sad.....I'm guessing it's made you stronger women though.

Interesting.. I was told that to get the full benefit it needed to be injected into muscle.

2 doctors, the nurse and the injection nurse told me that.

I'm sticking with the muscle on this one..

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!
