Hello everyone... I am sorry that it has been so long since I have posted. I have been on a neverending emotional rollar coaster these last few weeks. I want all the weight to be off now!!! It is slowly coming off. I finally hit the 20 pound mark this morning. I guess that is major, but I just can't see it yet. I do see it on the scale and a little bit in my clothes. I can finally fit into a sweater that I haven't worn in 8 years!! I also don't have to suck in my roll to get my jeans zipped up. I can also wear all of my wedding rings again. When I went for my consult back in October, I was 271. I was 261 the day of surgery, and I finally reached 241 this morning. It seems to be moving really slow. I keep telling myself that I am still a "newbie" and it will take time. My attitude has lifted. I am happier. My housework gets done (although it's not complete), and I actually get dressed now. Before this surgery, I would just sit at home in my jammies. After all, I was a housewife and stay at home mom, what would I need to get dressed for? It is nice to be dressed with shoes on. I was able to go across the street and visit without spending 30 min looking for clothes. Christmas was wonderful, even though we were far from family. The itty bitties had a blast!! They will be upset when I take down the Christmas stuff. I am soooo excited for this new year. I have high hopes that things will start to get better. School starts again on the 3rd for both me and my son. College will be done this year and I will have my degree. I will also be getting my real estate license this year and going back to work. Something that I have not done in almost 10 years!! This new year will be happy and revived!! I hope all of you find the renewed spirit that a new year can bring!! I know I am going to make the best of it!!! Much love to all of you!!!!

Hey girl!!! Gretta and I thought maybe you had melted with the snow Glad to hear you are up and going again. Did you ever measure yourself? remember you can lose a lot of inches before you see the scales move. I know this is going to be an adventurous year for all of us. The more profiles I look at the more I wish I already had my surgery. We are trying to see about a picnic this spring or early summer, I hope you can make it. I know I won't recognize you then!! Glad the kids had a nice holiday. Keep safe this New Year. Don't forget us. Julia

Marilyn, yeah it sounds so fun for anyone who can attend. We talked about it when we were at Golden Corral. Hopefully when the weather is nice we can have a few get togethers. Marilyn , I know you are excited. You and Vesta are scheduled the same day. Hope to see you them. Julia

I am so glad you are ok. 2007 sounds great for you. I am hoping that it will be as good for me. I am the same way that you used to be I am in my jammies all day as well. I occasionally get dressed for school functions or ball practice but other than that I dont ever get ready. I sure hope this surgery helps me with that. I don know that if I could fit in more clothes I would like to go out more often. Glad you had a nice holiday. Mine was great but a little sad as well because I am away from my family also. They are all in California. Well take it easy Kat and I will ttyl

Kat, I so understand what you mean...word for word, but I gotta tell you, last friday was my 5 week anniversary. I went out and shopped for just a couple of new things. I fit into 16/18's!!!!! (from 22/24's pre-op). I have felt on top of the world since then. so I highly recommend shopping for just a few new "smaller" things and not only will you begin to feel great about how you look, EVERYONE will start really noticing too. Congrats on all your successes so far! Barb
