TLC Big Medicine Tonight

 I didn't get to see the first episode last week but it comes on again tonight at 900 pm I believe. There is a girl who had WLS who's username is bluek and she posts on the main forum. Anywho...the docs of the TLC program Big Medicine are her brother and father. So she has some interesting links from her profile page if anyone is interested. Did anyone see the first episode last week? If so what did you think?

Hi Carties, Yes I watched it and I'm sooo excitied about it I love the show.  I post on the TLC page too.  The only downfall is the patients don't follow the rules after---one chick was drinking alcohol and i think it was mixed with soda.  The how the "glamorus" part of WLS.  Not the pain and sacrifices and all the hard work.  I wish they would.  But I'll be watching tonight!!! :D:D:D

Hi Chante, I did see last week. I watched in the middle of the night (insomniac). I liked the show. I thought it showed the emotional side of struggling with obesity pretty well for as much time they had to squeeze it in there. I will watch it again tonight. How are you feeling these days? I watched both episodes, and although I am so glad to see this kind of show, I am also very disappointed.  They don't show how rough it is with the diet, dumping, the protein we have to ingest, losing our hair, and our emotions.  I had this surgery 3 years ago, and it has changed my life in so many ways!  I also went through 2 rounds of PS, and the show does not show ANYTHING of what recovery is like!
