Hello Everyone!  I just wanted to say that it was a real pleasure to meet everyone that attended the Sedalia picnic on Tuesday.   I wish I had stopped sooner, I drove by a couple of times and was not sure if I had the right grou*****t.  I was embarrassed to stop and ask, I still have those "Fat Girl" moments where I don't want to draw attention to myself. Everyone looks great and it was so nice to share with everyone.  I hope we can do this again sometime.   Talk to you all soon, Julie

Julia you are and inspiration to everyone who has ever been there done that. I was so pleased to meet you as was everyone else.. You are a beautiful girl that i cant imagine all that you have gone thru.

I know all about the fat girl syndrome, had it for so many years and still slip into it once in a while but am beginning to come out and say look at me world here i am. No pretenses and trying not to show my hangups lol. The more pictures i have taken of me the more i realize that  the fat girl is dissapearing.

When do you have the hip and knee replacement surgeries?

Please come onto the board more often i feel like you have a lot to give to people and we would be so blessed to have your experience to draw from.

Jan

Julie, I checked out your profile after seeing your post...You have done AMAZING!!!!! What an inspiration as Jan said. I have a question for you.....was you ins that paid for PS BCBS-MO?? If so did you do anything special to get the approval? I had BCBS-CA and also was approved and I've put info in my blog that I used when requesting approval.....just curious if you just automatically got approved with photos and dr notes or if you had to do anything else. Did you have infection form hanging skin, etc...? Again, Congrats on your new life!!!  Tami

Hello Tami, Thank you,  and I have "Empire BCBS".  I think the main reason I was approved was because I had an orthopeadic dr's statement  saying that I have to have both knees and a hip replaced and he could not go through all the excess skin. I also had some skin irritation and break down on my outer thighs.  That has all cleard up now though.   I did have quite a bit of irritation where my stomach skin hung down as well, but the lower body lift took care of that., now my tummy is flat as a pancake!!!! Thanks again, Julie

Hi Julie, I was so honored to meet you yesterday!  You are an inspiration!!! I will keep you in prayer about the upcoming surgeries you have to face. I know that God will continue to bless you with safe surgeries. God never brings you to it without bringing you through it!! Have a wonderful rest of the day. Brenda

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right..
Forget about the one's who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.

If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy,

they just promised it would be worth it.
