Hi Cheryl & Ginger I haven't had surgery yet but have been around to see several post about stalling. I have sen many up their protein and begin to lose again. Are you getting ALL of your water in??? If you're having problems getting in your protein maybe you could get those new whey protein vials. I think Lana has said thats how she gets her protein in. They are only 3 ounces. Plus you drink half of it and go back a little later and drink the other half. 2 a day would be 84 grams of protein. I have heard the secret to great success is protein, protein and water!! Good luck to you and I hope things change for you soon Hugs

Thanks for the reply. I bought the vials and just have to push myself to drink them, they are too sweet for me. Which is funny, I use to love sweet things but now my taste buds are very different. I will try to mix them like Lana said and maybe I can get them down that way. Sounds like you are on the right track. That is great, keep reading and posting. when is your sugery? Let me know how you are doing. Ginger

Hi Y'all, I do use the New Whey bullets and they are a little thick but I mix them with SF Tropicana Lemonade or Orangeade if I need to.  Or just pour them over ice.  However, I am able, at six months out, to just sip them down and they help me get my protein in.  I still have trouble with water and have to really go for it after I get home from work which means a couple of trips to the bathroom after I go to bed but, as all the above folks are saying, water and protein are vital to weight loss.  There is just no way around that.  Wish I had an answer that was magic but I will say, "STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALE"!!!  I've found that if I only weigh once a week and do it first thing in the AM, I am usually rewarded with some loss and don't get frustrated on days when nothing comes off.  Give it a try, it's hard.  At first I had to have DH hide the scales from me and then I got weaned off daily weighing and now I just am not tempted to get on them.  Give it a try - you'll find it less frustrating. Hugs, Lana

You can get 15grams of protien in 2 tablespoons of Cher-amino protien. Its thick and tastes like a nasty cough syrup so I mix it in my protien shake (NECTAR) and crystal light. Takes the nasty taste away. I get 38 grams at a time -23shake and15 cher-amino=38. Try it. Dannielle

Hey Girls- I think once I am out more from surgery I will be ok. Just right now being a month out I am still trying to learn my new stomach. PLUS some things you can have, I can't yet--because of the new stomach gradual progression diet. Can't have the frozen strawberries, etc just yet. Like I said before, I have the Profect Vials but they are too thick--which I could mix with water maybe? I do appreciate everyone's responses to this post. You all have been so helpful. And for all you out there that think WLS is the "easy answer"...NOT at all. This is NOT easy. I think this has been the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. It's not so much about craving foods--because I crave only what I can eat at my specific diet stage..but it is VERY hard to get the protein and liquids in all in the same day. How exactly do you eat at your 1 month specific diet stage when you cannot get all your protein in from the food? Should I be doing a couple protein drinks a day then at dinner have like an egg? The dietician says this is the most important stage because this is where I am supposed to be developing good habits. I hope that made some sense. Cheryl
