WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY
Got up really early this morning and went and got the grandkids car inspected for them and then got their tags on there. It had expired and they had no money to buy them with.
So I guess it goes to dear old grandma again. Don’t really mind they will take care of it one day.
Joe came back and said he got up way too early and was going back to bed. Which he did lol. I pulled weeds and after coming in and taking a shower woke him up and we went over to his nieces house to go swimming and to have supper. She fixed a Mexican Chicken dish that was really good and something that we could have. So that was great.
Played with the baby Alexis and got to know her some. She is quite the character already.
Her big sister Sierah was too busy playing with her friends to pay much attention to us. Lol She will be seven in a couple of months.
Yesterday we had a lot of people answer on here today only 4 so here is the re cap.
JANET: I am glad that you are learning to not detach yourself from things anymore. Sometimes our hearts don’t think we can stand feelings and I think that may have played a role in us getting fat. Not knowing how to handle ourselves , we ate. Of course we ate for other reasons too. Name them and we ate for them. Or at least some of us did. That was how we felt.
My goodness you sure did accomplish a lot of work in one day . That is amazing.
Please keep us informed about your MOM and know that we are all praying for her.
My friend that had surgery in Ga. She didn’t have a drain either. Havent talked to her this evening but this morning she said she was feeling wonderful and was ready for the next 100 pounds to go.
Im so sorry that you all keep getting rain. I know you have lots of stuff that you need to get ready for the reception ad all.
SUSAN: I know when you are newly post op you are almost overwhelmed to just get in all of your protein and then all of your water with all the rules that they give.
Amazingly sooner than later you will figure it all out for your self because it has to be your diet plan and your schedule. I remember when I was new trying to do it exactly by the book. You really will be able to do it too in a month or so.
Keep pushing along.
What helped me when I was a new post op. I filled a 2 quart pitcher and could visually see how much water I needed a day,and foods in small containers in the ref. So daily I could look and see if there was something I was suppose to get down .
BEV: So glad I could help some. I depend on God to give me words to say to people at times. So really all the thanks goes to God.
I know you will make it on your diet and exercise program. You are a determined little girl.
RIANNE: well not much longer now. 4 more days. Wow. Can it be already. By the time you get down to your moms it is close. Is your boyfriend not going to be with you when you have surgery? I wish you the very best of luck and you know we will all be praying for you.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
Good morning all! What a bad day yesterday. I almost gave in and went to the hospital
(again), after talking to Natalie. She said that Dr. Scott would want me
to go and I know that I should (I can hear you all now) but I was just
hoping that I would start to feel better. I dont mean to whine about it
and I know it could be serious but I really dont think I can stand another
friggin stay in the hospital. It seems to feel a little better this morning but still hurting like hell when I walk. I am sure I will be okay.
morning, and I promised DH if when I get off work if it has gotten worse
again I will go, so please pray I have become this big baby about pain and
everything is okay! I just have a question.
JAN: Thanks so much for the help about "getting it all in", lol. Sometimes I
have to laugh at myself on how easy answers can be when someone else tells
ya. Another fantastic reason to have this place!! Thank you!
TAMMY C: Another St. Charlesian! Nice to meet ya. I havent been around to meet ya
before, but always glad to make a new friend so close to home!
MEL: Really wanted to call ya last night. I would like to lie about it and say
I was at the Tax Man's until late but I was hurting so bad last night it
completely slipped my mind about the appointment and I didnt remember until
I was getting into bed. I will be so glad when you are done with this IV
thing, I know that has to suck! Love and Prayers. (((KISS)))
JANET: (WINGS, AKA superwoman!!) What the heck girl. Your making us all look
bad, hehe! I know alot of you all are superwoman here, but yikes I feel
about 150yrs compared to you, lol! Please call me when you need to talk,
I'm not much of a replacement for "MEL Baby" but you know I am here for ya
too if ya need a shoulder. God knows you been there enough for me!
Well better go, take care all. Love Susan
Hello all!
I talked to Janet yesterday! it was nice to hear your voice again. Im glad the kitty is doing ok today.
I am not doing to bad..yesterday I walked down my street a short distance. and did some of the Richard Simmons workout video I have.would be a whole lot easier if I had a brazeer on...but the drain and stitch line is in the way. I am fighting with a yeast infection....EVERYwhere.
The Doctor said it was from the antibiotics I was on....how long does that last?
and besides the powder he gave me to use what can I do to stop it?
I appreciate everyones prayers for my gran. that she is alive and trying to get better from all of the trauma is a testament to prayer. I still cannot go to see her as I cannot drive and it is a 4 hour drive from here.
Susan take care of yourself...get to the doctor if you are not feeling better! this is not a time for bravery and stoicness!
I hope Mel is feeling better each and everyday and will have a complete recovery!
Rianne...and Chelle...not to long now! I know you are excited and scared all in one. but its going to be so good to be on the other side of all of this.
Have a great day!

Hi OH and Jan Well it's getting closer!!! Only 4 more days!!! I don't know where all the time is going but whoever ordered it to go fast don't stop now!!!
I went to the Doc yesterday to get all my pre-op stuff done and it looks like it is a go!!! Dr. Scott says we're ready to go and I told him about my back surgery and how the morphine made me so sick and he said well, then we won't even try it. So, we chose to do delaudid (spelling) instead. I am kinda of nervous whether that will really work since I have never used it before. Took my daughter to a school today where she signed up to start school. She will be a secretary or administrative assistant by the time the baby is born, if not shortly after. Tomorrow we go to the doctor. I told her esterday that we may be able to hear the babys' heartbeat. She is excited. I am hoping we can hear it tomorrow also. I think I am getting as excited as she is. Jan, I was reading about you going over and having dinnner with the kids. It sounds like you had a blast. I have a grandaughter named Alexis too. We call her Lexi. She is something else. I just love having the grandkids, we can spoil them and then send them home. LOL Janet, sounds like you have a new addition to your family. She sounds really cute. I hope you get to feeling better soon. I got your email and will be emailing you back in the nextr few days. It has been crazy around here. The only time I get to sit and think is after everyone goes to bed. Susan, I am so sorry to hear you are still having problems sweetie. Remember if we are in too much pain it slows the healing process. I hope you get better soon and will be praying for you. Nutti, glad to hear you are feeling better and way to go on getting started with your walking. Are you sure it's not too early to do the workout videos??? Thanks for the words of encouragement. Bev, sorry to hear about your car. It's always something with those dang things. Good luck on your appt. with your psychologist next week. Your surgery will be here before you know it. It seems like it takes forever but once the ball starts rolling it seems like it rolls faster and faster everyday. I better get off of here friends. I have so much to do and it seems so little time to do it. Take care everyone!!!! Hugs Chelle
Hello OH and fellow Mo-ians!!
How is everyone doing? I woke up to some dreary rain and it just doesn’t seem to stop! Jon and I spent all of our time joined at the hip this morning….it was really sad leaving, but at least when I see him again in 2 weeks I’ll be one step further on the healthy journey :-) maybe two steps if I hurry….
I ran around getting the rest of my stuff packed before Jon went to bed so that he could help me load mom’s car. Then…I got in the car and started driving. NO convertible top down drive this time though, stupid rain. It rained my entire 3 hr drive down here….stopped half way to use restroom and also to walk a bit to stretch….
Wow…4 days….that’s less than one whole hand….I just can’t believe it!! I have my preop testing tomorrow morning, then mom and I are going to do some shopping (
Mom said she’s probably going to do the liquid diet with me this weekend because she just doesn’t think she can eat in front of me! I told her she was silly….she should enjoy being able to eat food…but whatever it’s her choice I suppose! She did it with me last weekend and lost 5 pounds so more power to her!
Jan~ Sounds like you’ve had a nice productive day with the car inspections and family togetherness! That’s nice :-D No, Jon isn’t going to come down for surgery. I told him that I would MUCH rather him take some vacation time when I come back up to Missouri to help me transition easier…SO he’s taking the week off that I come back so that he can be at my beck and call ;-) Also, hopefully we’ll be able to move into that place if our application is accepted!
Janet~ How is your MOM doing?? I understand bout the rain…it rains just bout every single day where we live….it’s annoying! Your new family addition sounds just adorable…better watch it, you’ll be attached before you know it!! (I love cats…) How’d your trip to
Nutti~ SO glad you’re doing well….already up and walking…that’s great! When will you get your drain out?? I am really hoping to not have to go home with it…but we’ll see….Still sending up tons of prayers for your gram!
Susan~ I haven’t actually talked to you or “met” you yet…so HI!! Been following your journey though through everyone elses posts…Glad you were feeling a bit better today. Did you end up going to the hospital?? You should never feel like you are being a “baby” because only you know your body and only you know if something is wrong with it! Will be sending up some prayers for ya though!
Bev~ Sorry bout your car. I know what you mean though, when it rains it pours!! There is always one bill or another that wants your attention! You should definitely enjoy your time off! Don’t fret your psych eval results…if anyone was going to be found crazy it would be me! But, I passed with flying colors…she just said I had problems talking bout myself and my problems to people. Well DUH! I coulda told her that and saved some money on the eval!! Ha
Chelle~ AWESOME bout your preop testings!! I have mine tomorrow…so should be interesting. I know my surgeon is going to be mad b/c I haven’t lost too much weight on this liquid diet…but it’s my time of the month and I’m freaking bloated…dunno what he wants me to do bout it! I haven’t had surgery since I was 5 yrs old…so I am kinda nervous bout the anesthesia…dunno if I’ll react to it or not. My mom said the pain pump is fun though ;-)
I love you all!! **hugs** FOUR DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!
