How long is Hosp after RNY
How exciting - your surgery is almost here!!!!
As far as how long you stay, that varies a bit by doctor and surgery type. I had lap RNY, so I did not have to stay in ICU and only spent 2 days I think in the hospital. Those who have open often have to stay in ICU and stay a day or so longer. But, it seems those protocols are different by doctor and/or hospital and sometimes just over time they change what they do.

Hi there,
I had my surgery 12/12/07 and I didn't have the cpap machine but the sleep apnea and I went to the ICU for 1 day. I was supposed to go to the bypass patient floor after that, but they had no bed for me (at Depaul), so I was there the whole two days. They were great and they're very attentive.
