Newbie

Hi all!  I'm Christine.  I'm new to the site and I just did a little with my profile, although I'm having a hard time figuring out the navigation.  I'll get it sooner or later. I have my first appt with Dr. Hornbostel on the 19th for my consult.  I'm very anxious.  I've got this fear that he's going to tell me that he can't/wont operate on me.  My BMI is high enough and I have HBP, so it shouldn't be a problem.  So far, everything has just really fallen into place, so I'm afraid of the ineviteable bump in the road.   I'm hoping to meet some ppl and share my experience with you guys. I just met with Dr. Hornbostel on Wednesday of this week and got a call today with a surgery date.  I have to have a scope done to check for ulcers, he said the purpose for this was becasue of the history of reflux he didnt want any surprises on surgery day.  I still need to go for my pre-op assess, but thats it until surgery day....its going pretty quick, my surgery was already pre approved after appealing the denial.  I hope everything goes well for you on you WLS journey.  Good Luck

Oh come on!  You can't leave me hanging like that... when is the surgery date?!  lol  I've heard a lot of ppl mention the scope... I was starting to think it was something they did on everyone.  SOOOOO... when's they big day?  Congrats!

Surg in scheduled for may 2nd at bothwell regional hospital...getting kind of anxious...i guess knowing that we are actually moving forward, instead of go back.
