WHATS HAPPENING FOR SUNDAY

Im still praising God about all that happened yesterday.

 

Today I have been in the yard working all day…I don’t know what is wrong with my back, it is even hurting down into my flanks….like a kidney infection does? Oh man I hope that isnt it. Darn…

Will start taking my cranberry pills and drinking cranberry juice too. And more water , if I can get any more down.

 

We have been working on winterizing the green house too. Putting insulation in the bottom part , where the wood is up about 2  ½ feet then will put boards up over that …should help and we are trying a new type heater. Is suppose to heat really well with using ½ the electric…Is an infared heater….suppose to be cutting edge deal…if it works without running the elect bill up for the green house we might get a big one for the house.

And instead of 300 dollar light bills in the winter we could have 150 would be great.

Will let you all know….

     

I have so many plants that I don’t want the frost to get , they were and are so pretty that I am digging them up and potting them up to put in the green house.

Will keep them there till it come time to plant seeds for new annuals..i have plans on what to do with them then…we have another concret slap right behind the greenhouse….going to sink some post around that and make a makeshift greenhouse more or less. Not anything that cant be taken down in the summer but will keep the plants from freezing in early spring. I told Joe that and he gave me a funny look like I was crazy …maybe so.

 

 

Andy doesn’t look too good you guys….i took them over a big bowl of the chicken soup I made and he looks really pale. I ask him how he felt and he said sort of weak…

He said that the area that they inserted the cather into his groin was still very very sore and had a huge hematoma on it….he sees his cardio doctor on Monday. I told Susan that if he keeps getting weaker that he might need to go to the e.r. to get checked out. ..

So keep praying for him….he said he is anxious to get back to walking . But he sure needs to get some strength back first I think….

 

 

W ant to welcome the two newest losers to the bench…Lou and Renee. Both of you are going to do so good. You all are like this is a job and your going to get it done , by golly. Lol

That is the attitude that it takes , like Bec with her timer and water and protein. So many seem to not understand that when you have this surgery it is a life time commitment to the protein ,water, vitamins , and lab work….isnt for a few weeks and stop if your not liking it lol it is forever. All three of you are doing well and I want to commend you on your being good role models for all that come behind you.

 

 

 

TAMMY  H:::::: I hope all of your plants will do good im sure they will . never heard of elephant ears being gone , mine don’t until frost and then you can still see where they are they are just wilted lol …I leave mine in the ground I just cut them off at ground level and cover them with straw about 6 inches of it and they do well , same with my cannas I leave them in the ground too now , didn’t know that you could until about 4 years ago..

Yummy I love spinach dip….is so so good.

 

 

SHANNON:::::: shame on you girl…lol don’t start eating all the sweets to gain back some weight….wrong way and you know it ….just add more good carbs till you notice an increase in the weight. Jus****ch it cause they get to be habit forming and they are hard to get off of.

 

I think most of us if you really looked at ourselves would have to say we are different than we use to be. I know im a lot more outgoing than I was. I was quite the hermit actually. And very unhappy , lol now im always laughing and talking to anyone I see.

 

Yep don’t sweat the small stuff and its all small stuff.

 

Hope you find a new church home. Joe and I have been looking for a long time and haven’t found one yet….we belong to the church in Republic that Sugar goes to but it is just too far anymore to make it .

BEC::::: how is your side feeling? I keep praying for you several times a day. Hopefully you will be better in a little while but if not go have your pcp run those tests.

 

Thanks for the prayers for Michele, please keep her in your prayers still, she is still needing them to keep herself on the straight and narrow. I know all of you have a lot to pray for but we can mark some of the things we prayed for , for her as answered cant we?

She ask me why in the world God kept her there with Jason so long, I laughed and told her that I guess it was a lesson he wanted her to learn. She said well I could have gotten it before getting beaten and all so much. Told her I guess he wants you always remember this forever and forever. Don’t make that same mistake again lol

She is just so happy today that she said she feels like she is walking on air. Lol

 

Do the pain meds make it easier to get around without pain.? Be sure and take them at least a half hour or 45 minutes before you start to walk ok?

 

We all are praying that that pain will be gone soon. and you can get about your biz-nez

 

 

JANET:::::: yes don’t you just love Becs house ,her house is so pretty makes me think mine is a mess for sure.

I still cant picture the elevator  incident…2 sets of doors? I cant picture it , must me this old mind lol

So glad that you were there to help keep it from doing more harm to her…can you imagine the elevator pulling that drain out of her side  oh my gosh would have been terrifying. For her and you.

 

Im glad that you got to stop in and see Sheila….poor girl I know she is in pain and will be for a little while longer  as soon as she has surgery most of the pain will be gone.

No re hab needed just rest to not pull it out of place….she sure doesn’t want to do that.

 

Am praying for Jon I know it is aggravating to be sick….so did he get to go watch daddy race? May make him feel better especially if he wins. Lol

 

Oh your puppie sounds so cute. I love the little house dogs…the yorkies don’t shed either do they? I was told they are the only dog that has hair not fur? Is that right?

I told joe we could have one and could get a small pet carrier and strap it to the back of the trike on top of the trunk , it could learn to ride there lol we saw some people once that had a yorkie that they hauled with them like that. Lol

 

I read your deal with your doctor that is really exciting girl. You are going to be on their advertisement or what? That is cool.

And you are at goal wow. You will be less than goal when you have your tummy tuck  whoo hoot. Way to go girl…

 

NO IT IS NOT BOASTING TO SAY YOU ARE PROUD OF YOURSELF…EVERYONE NEEDS TO DO THAT.

You have done something really great. The doctor gave you the tool but you did the work…

So sorry about Mikes dad….will keep him and the rest of the family in prayer. Hope that you all get to see him again and take him on that fishing trip.

 

Thanks for being happy for my baby, I want her to have a good life, not especially a rich life just a good life…she said she wants to find out who she is and what she wants…

I am just so happy that God put it all together… isnt it amazaing to just stand back and watch God work? ??? is great.

 

Im sure Joes second shot will help a lot, hopefully , every time before  the first one last about 3 weeks  , the second last about a month and then the third one last about a year. I don’t thik they are going to make him go a month tho between them this time.

But he has another one on Monday. I told him he wasn’t going to do anything before we leave so he will be ok for our trip

 

Now I may have to go see about my back….but it isnt back pain per se it is my kidneys I think ,,,,I have been taking cranberry pills and drinking lots and lots of water but it keeps hurting and I have been sick at my stomach today and running some fever.

Think I will call my pcp Monday and see if I cant come it give them some pee and get a script. I know its infected. Feels just like it did right before I had my wls.

LANA::::: well hello you New Yarker darling!!! Glad you had a great time …im not too sure that I would survive in N.Y. lol I sure don’t think I would fit in too well.

I think it would be really great to see all those places that you said. I would love to go up in the  Statue of Liberty but I don’t think they let you do that any more do they?

It all sounds so exciting and all but were you glad to get back to little sleepy Springfield?

Im so glad that you had fun but really glad that you are back home to us where you belong. lol

Hey Guys & Gals.....
Looks like a long night of no sleepen so I thought Id drop a line or two.....
Worked my butt off today and Im so POOPED!!!!......And hurten like crazy!!!....Watched the news to see if rains on its way cause my back,knees & hips are killing me....Not suppose to get it till Tues & Wed.....I don't know why I hurt so bad days before it even gets here....but that's how it usually is....I can usuall tell 2-3 days before rain even gets to us....

Sure could use some sleep...Im going to have a house full tomorrow....My neices birthday is tomorrow and Im cooking dinner for her and making her a cake.....And my bananas I got to make Joe a Banana pudding is getting to ripe too fast so I guess Ill have to make that too....
Im making her a new casserole I tried at a friends house last week...I just loved it and Im pretty sure all my gang will too... It was a enchilauda casserole made with Daritos....Man is it good and so easy.....

Jan.....I just had to go get my urin checked to see if I had another urinary tract infection.....I had one when I had my surgery in June and took forever to get it cleared up and then had another one about a month ago and same thing..Ended up having to take cipro to get rid of it....Kinda strange though...I don't hurt in my back or burn when I go pee.....Theres just an oder when I do go....She said if I do have one and it don't clear up with first round of meds this time then she wants me to go see specialist........
I hope you and Joe both feel better really soon.....Will praying for yall and that things go well with your daughters job.....

Hope Johns feeling better soon...So crappy when the lil ones are sick and you can't do much to make them feel better!!
Da Princess is doing fine....Shes with us tonight....She has to spend at least one night a week with Nannie and Papaw....Sometimes a few nights a week....Then I got to take her to school lol lol....She is learning soooo much at school.... She's been singing me songs that she learn at head start and they all have hand motions and stuff to go with them and she is soooo darn cute when she sings them ...... Tonight at supper I told her she had to eat all her supper so she would have energy to ride her bike.....She had eat about 1/2 of what was on her plate and she said....Look Nan, Im eaten sooo good.....Im going to have bunches of eternity to ride my bike.. I about laughed my butt off......Sometimes some of the things they say when they are that young can bring you to your knees with laughter....
Cheyennes doing pretty good....We haven't seen her much the past few weeks becaue we have been so tied up moving and trying to settle at the new place and clean up at the old place. Heather brought her to the house in Campbell last Sunday for us to see while we were up there getting some things loaded on the truck......We are going to see about getting her for a bit tomorrow....Will see about getting a few pics to send....
Christina had a whole day with out throwing up yesterday lol lol....she was tickled to death.....Maybe it wont drag on for her as long as it did Heather....

Bec....Girl your going to have to take some pics of your place and post em......After the way Janet descried your home Id love to see it.....

Well guess I better close for now and see if I can't get some zzzzz's....Need energy to get the cooking done but will need some for cleaning up the mess afterwards lol lol......

Hello everyone!

Welcome all the newbies, I have polished you place on the bench rather nicely for you.  LOL
You are all in my prayers. Susan don't think I would wait on anymore time for Andy, sounds like he needs to go to the ER now. infection in any site needs help.

Shannon and all Grandmothers....Idea you might like. Since my first grandchild was born, I have been writing  in a journal for each of them. Everytime they come over I write immediately after they leave what we did and what they said that needs to be remembered. My oldest keeps asking me to let her read them but I am keeping them until I am gone. (you know when I go with the lord) I think it will be a wonderful rememberance for them.

Well, son just arrived to visit and have to go. Love you all.

Good Morning Missouri,

Boy did the pain meds help yesterday..... I walked 50 minutes in the morning w/o pain and 30 minutes last night.  I think I am actually getting some better too.... boy I sure hope so.... it hurts like a son of a gun when it hurts but it may just have been better yesterday .... it may have been the pain meds too ~ha...... I took it before I walked each time....

I had a good day "piddling" and I do mean "piddling" (no REAL work) around out side with Paul...(I think I was more of a pest than a help ~ha) he is working on a small trailer we have had for years .... packed the bearings, put new, "bigger" tires on it..... that is soooo my Paul..... the bigger and stronger the better!  it was funny.... he put his "baby" the John Deere lawn mower on the trailer an it looked really funny hooked to my puddle jumper (Toyota Rav 4).... the mower looked as big or bigger than the vehicle! 
Just too funny! Kinda looked like the mower ought to be pulling the car!

I gathered some seeds for next year.... still have to watch the castor beans and get them when the pods turn brown......  I gathered hyacinth beans (so very cool how may seeds I got off one bean!), morning glory seeds, and a few of the castor beans, I had a couple of  seed pods off my hibiscus plants too.  Got a nice bunch of luffa seeds too.

It was wonderful listening to the fountain run all day too.... it will not be long before I will have to winterize it.... that will be sad.... it won't be long either before it is time it put all the yard ornaments back in the garden shed.... then it looks so bear outside..... alot of the things I have... I have painted and if I leave them out in the winter it is very hard on the paint jobs and I have to be repainting everything in the spring.... so I put most of it away....

{{{Deb}}} My goodness!  I sure hope you did not hurt like that yesterday because you went out there and picked up those walnuts!  Oh that would be terrible!  Please don't pick up any more!  If Paul and I can't pick them up then I don't need them!  PLEASE! I couldn't stand it if you were in pain because of ME!  You are a very dear woman!

Mimi~ yes we are going to continue to pray that Michele is successful!  That she finds happiness, peace, contentment and the very place God wants her to be in her walk with Him! What more can a mother want for her child? 

I sure hope you are able to get what you need in the way of meds so this problem does not mess with your trip.... and that Joe's back pain will be much better so he can enjoy the trip too!  My Paul would sure clean those trees up for you if we was closer... that kind of thing is right up his alley.

I'm so sorry Andy is not looking good....  will be praying that he continues to improve and feels better each day!  Bless his heart!

Tammy ~ Those ladies are WAY too complementary!  I'm just a good clearance shopper! ~ha  I've been to Mimi's place and it's beautiful too... such a "cottage feel" it fits her perfect!  We are so opposites but she has just as good a taste as I do..... it all flows and goes together... I've not been to Janet's but I have no doubt that it is just as suited to her also!  Seems like women just have a way of "nesting" that when you are in their "domain" so to speak that you can see their personality every where you look.  These ladies are fantastic! and always so complementary of me!  I love them for that, but I'm just a plain ole gal.  And like these dear dear friends... I would LOVE to have you anytime you want to come!  My poor ole puter is so old and cantankerous that I can't get pics uploaded... my puter is so old even the wal~mart disk you put your pics on is to updated for me....

Janet ~ thank you dear lady for praying for me I sure need it still.... but maybe I have a hope things are going to get better real soon....

I have to agree with Mimi.... you have "earned the right to ride in the front seat!" (off Disney's Fox and the Hound).... you are NOT boasting and even if you were you have EARNED a few rights I would say!  How fantastic is it that they want you on the bill board!!!! oh boy I can't wait to go up there and see it!!!!

I'm also praying for Jeanine... that poor lady sure has had her hands full! and then with her not feeling well either... I pray the Lord will give her the strength she needs to do what she feels she has too.

Well I'm just going to have to get busy... the dishes are piled high... the laundry is piled high, seems everything needs done.... I haven't done a single thing hardly since I got home from Columbia on Tuesday and boy can you tell it around here.... I better start "looking" at it ~tee hee well heck I better do more than "look".....

We will be gone a few days this week leaving Tuesday evening and won't be back till Friday evening so I have to get the led out and get some things done now... I HATE to come home to a mess!  Mimi ~ I got a tickle out of you telling me I will be getting about my "bi~niz"!  Well now you know what my "bi~niz" is for today!  too funny!

I have in mind a couple of projects I want to make for my walnut picking friend....she was such a doll to go out there and get them for me that I sure feel like I might take a bit of something to her that will "atone" for her efforts.  I hope to work on that tomorrow and Tuesday.

I also need to pay a bit of attention to my secret pal!  She's a fantastic lady!

Debbie Darl'n ~ you will have to tell me all about your day yesterday!  Did you see a lot of good things?  I would have dearly loved loved loved to have been there!  I always get a lot of good ideas when I go to those shows.

 Good afternoon. Hope you're feeling lots better and pain is getting better.
 No i didn't hurt my back picking up nuts for you, My back hurts 24-7 all the cushion between the disc is gone and they set bone on bone,So i am pretty much in pain all the time,Some day's are better than others. But i should of became a weatherman,I know when the weather is gonna change before they do LOL.
 All the grandkids were outside yesterday picking up leprechauns as they call them {pecans} .They were bored so i gave them a sack ,they had fun. Most of the ones they got were already half eaten by the squirrels or still in their protective covering, They only got about a 1/4 of a walmart sack and they were done LOL.
 Hope you have a great day.And please don't think you caused me any pain.I loved picking them up for you.

Jan I hope you are feeling better, I use to have bladder infection often, but praise be to God I have not had it since my WLS surgery, I have not been able to figure that one out.

Remember my friend Linda W. some of you met her at the Sedila picnic, she is having knee replacement tomorrow morning, and they have put her thru the mill getting her ready. she will be in the nursing home until she gets through part of her therapy, she is prone to blood clots, they put a strainer  in her, I tried to get her to come here but they want her to be there because they have a good therapy program. but she has a good family behind her and I will be there if she needs me..

I am so proud of these last one getting through their surgery, hang in there it gets better...

OK I live about half way for allot of you, and I need a visit from you all, I dint care when or how many, I am so far for the Springfield meeting and no one in my class is on this forum, and I wish they were, but all are willing to attend our reunion next year..so hey surprise me sometime and even come to our  3rd  tue. meeting at 6:00pm  in the Howell Oregon Electric on 63 highway...
and you are very welcome to spend the night I have lots of sleeping places..

to everyone on here I love ya and I cant  call your names because as sure as I do I would leave a very important one out..so forgive me you all KNOW HOW IMPORTANT YOU ARE TO ME .

I had 3 grands and 1 great  all weekend I took them to Alley Springs mo. its a very neat place you can look it up on the Internet, they had the haunting of the hills this weekends , taught the kids how to make candles, ropes and so much I cant tell it all, it was great and they loved it..we packed our food and of coarse they had a BBQ and lots of other eats..

Then they were hot before we came home and it is located on Jacks fork river, ok take a dip so took them down to the river in a place where no one was and they went swimming in their panties and shirt as I brought more clothes for them..the water was from a big spring so it was cold, they didn't care..their ages were 9, 10 and two 11 year olds, I enjoyed taking the as much as they did..Linda my daughter went with us...

I was to tired to go to church today...shame on me.....

I will be so glad when Andy gets on his feet, I keep him and Susan in my prayers......vesta

You're only an hour and 1/2 away from Ellington, MO!?  I saw where you took your grand kids to Alley Springs, MO and it brought back found memories.  My Grandma lived in Ellington, MO and we would frequently go to Alley Springs to take a dip in the Big Springs water.  I remember it being so clear you could see to the bottom of it.  The water was always ice cold and was great to wade in.  We took Luke when he was around 2 years old, however, they didn't allow wading it in then.  If I remember right, it's the biggest spring in the nation.  Do you remember the caves?  When I was a kid we could "walk" thru them.  They were closed when we took Luke as well.  They did have a walk way around the mountain.  Wow, I really need to take my kids to Alley Springs!  Is Jack's fork river close to Alley Springs? 
My Grandma is buried in Winona (sp?), MO.  How far is that from you?  Like I said, DH and I need to take the boys back down there.  It's quite a drive, like 9 hours, but is it beautiful country!

Well, I'll let you go.  Just wanted to say thank you for posting.  It brought back a lot of really great childhood memories!

Yes Alley Springs is a wonderful place, and it is on Jacks Fork river, it sure is beautiful water..
Winona is just 6 miles from Alley Springs, we live about 35 miles more or less from it.. not far at all, they have beautiful camp grounds. I live in West Plains....
I just hope I made memories for my grands yesterday, and I'm sure I did...tks for your post...vesta
